This is Brazilian women reality, scantily clad on the beach, in real, unenhanced photos: My point, dear ladies (especially), is that they are not really more amazingly fit, toned, naturally well built, gorgeous, beautiful, or etc. than you are. They have that reputation, yes; but, the reality is that they are women of varying heights, weights, shapes, levels of fitness; some are prone to cellulite; most are prone to having periods, needing to shave their legs, demanding time from men who may be tired and cranky, and otherwise being human. So, buck up! It doesn’t matter that you are not exotic, that you have to work a full day at the office instead of cavorting in teeny bikinis, and otherwise fail to live up to some juvenile fantasy of how women should be. You are beautiful. And, these women, who are also beautiful, also fail to live up to those fantasies. Besides, have you ever met a man whose every fantasy of a big boobed, tan, completely submissive sex goddess type of woman was fulfilled? Yes? And, was he, then, giving, caring, monogamous to her, a good father to her children? Did he mind that her belly swelled during pregnancy or did he treat her as a fertile sex goddess? Or, did they have to live alone all their lives, no children, to keep up their fantasy? Did he still love her the same when her hair went gray and the wrinkles came? You don’t need the kind of man who lives in a fantasy world. You are the only you in existence- you have your own way of doing things, your own looks, thoughts, feelings, and you are all woman! That is enough fantasy for a real man! Especially when it comes in black silk stockings, or whatever else it is that he likes that you, being a happy woman who knows she is loved, are likely to don, or do, for him! Don’t look at your friends, girlfriends, wives, mothers, daughters, etc. and tell them what is wrong with them. Don’t day dream about other people in other countries being more desirable. Don’t look at airbrushed models and movie actresses and hold yourself, your loved ones, or your society up to those impossible standards. Deal with reality! Reality is that, the world over, most people are beautiful, and very few of them are perfect looking. Pretty much every person you see is someone that is going to make another person’s knees tremble with desire! If it isn’t your knees, then you need to ask yourself how much of it is your own negative attitude rather than their hideous features. Because, in general, when it comes to a man with quick change perceptions, a woman is beautiful to a man until he sees something that would be more acceptable to his friends, or until she is married to him, or etc. Then, often, she is no longer desirable, and the joke is that it’s because she lets herself go, gets fat, gets old. Yeah, just like men do? Is that what you mean? If you loved her, if she loved you, a little aging and growing of love handles wouldn’t matter. Especially once you realized that people in other countries also age, some of them are fat, some of them have zits or funny noses. Yet, people think many of those people are gorgeous anyway. Why? They are relaxed and/or in a different environment and/or ready to see things and people as beautiful. The women are treated better, told they are beautiful, so they behave as if they are beautiful. Here is a fact: If a woman tells a man she is ugly, he starts believing her. If she acts as if she is beautiful, he starts believing her. Or, if he doesn’t, his loss – some other man will. Here is another fact: if a man tells a woman she is beautiful, she will start to believe him. So will he. And, the reality is that, in either case- by acting as if you already are beautiful or being told you are beautiful, you do, physically, become more beautiful. So, if you want the women in your country to be more beautiful – whether it is you, or a woman you are interested in, or a daughter whose self-esteem you want to build up , or whoever she is – look her in the eye and tell her, in all sincerity “You are beautiful!”; and, then she will be.

It has been said that imitation is the highest form of flattery. So what does it mean, when people tell you that they feel like they know you, because they have lived a little—or a lot—through the lives of the characters that you have incorporated into your work? By the same token, what do you say to these same people who have declared that your work is better and richer than he who is recognized as the “Paradigm of Horror”, by Roget’s Super Thesaurus? For me it is an endearing and glowing compliment of the highest degree, filled with kindness and grace, which exalts and humbles me. And by doing so, it only encourages me all the more to do the best I can to try and provide quality work and entertainment for you. This Next Installment is dedicated to all those who have stepped aboard “The Pariah Train” while it was still in the station, and to one dear friend who is also my advocate, and will soon be known by name when time finds the precise and perfect moment to recognize her, even as I have recognized her for her glowing compliments, endearing words, and encouragement. Her wit, her charm, her grace and kindness, are still incomparable to her beauty and the spirit that radiates within her. To all of you who have found your way here to this precise moment in time, and told me that you feel as if you know me, because you have lived a little—or a lot—of the lives that I put into my characters to make them credible, and by your declarations, admiration, and love, have made the richness of each character more incredible to me than I ever could imagine since the day I first breathed life into them, this journal entry is for you. In just two months time, the passengers aboard “The Pariah Train” have grown from 3 strangers, to 300+ known individuals! And although that may not seem like a lot to some people—especially not to some publishers—to me it is the world! You enjoy what I do, give meaning to it, and I will continue doing what I do—and as long as you continue to enjoy it, I will spin out tales and entertainment, and we will see just how big this train can be. A lot of you have told me that the reason you haven’t left comments, is either because you didn’t know what to say, or you realized that you had to belong to certain communities in order to leave said comments in order to be heard, and you would rather send you words directly to me. With all sincerity I embrace them! However, others will never know what it is you have said to me, unless you get out on the web and the blogs and start leaving comments! Some of you have already started to promote me, by placing my book covers on your sites and various blogs, this does more for me than my publisher has ever done in five years!! Then you turn around and ask me how that makes me feel—some of you knowing the arduous steps that it took to get here. Well…I am not a best-selling author at this time, and I may never be one, but you all have made me feel that my goal—my dream, isn’t as insurmountable as it previously seemed. You make me feel wanted, needed, accepted, in a world where we all thought that we were strangers—where no one wanted to hear or believe our words. I heard you all, and you heard me, and sometimes that has to be enough to keep us going and playing this inexplicable game, for some inexplicable prize, because of some inexplicable price. You are all champions in my world! And some of you have had to lose everything time and again, before you arrived at this inexplicable moment in time for me to tell you how truly wonderful you are! I wish that I had the moon and stars to give you, but most of you know that because that is not possible, I give what I can…and it comes from the heart—and that was enough to bring you here, and it means all the world to me… I don’t know where this train is bound for, but it can only be right, with you all by my side… Without your words I would have no voice, I thank you all graciously for giving me that voice. At this time I have received a positive review from the Writer’s Literary Agency who want to represent my work for “Darkness Within”. They require that I either submit to them a critique—done by someone who has the credentials of an editor, or they will refer me to an editor for the process. After that it becomes a matter of signing a contract with the agency, that states I can fire them at any time I am not pleased with their work, and I maintain all rights from the book. As some of you may know, the work is not finished; I still have a couple of months to get from point A to point B; however I do already have the ending written out, and some of the chapters leading up to it. If any of you know someone that has the credentials of an editor that would be interested in taking the time to go over my work, and offer a critique, your services would be invaluable. The agency tells me that I am looking at spending about $70-$90 for a professional critique; and of course I am trying the doors to see if I can get an editor for less than that. If I don’t find one in the next three days, I will be going with the editor that the agency refers me to. Tor expressed interest in my work at one time, and this is something that I plan to bring to the attention of the agency-possibly I can find an editor through them, and thereby seal my chances with publication by them as well. On the other hand, if I find an editor for less than $70, I will take them up on their offer-give their credentials to the agency, and, as a side-note, mention to them that Tor was interested in my work; perhaps the agency can pull a few strings that will either get me accepted by Tor, or at the very least, offer me a rejection that I don’t have to wait 6-8 months for. Soooooo, everyone keep your fingers crossed, say your prayers to your dieties—whether they be male, female, or endrogenous; and maybe something really swell will happen, and put “Darkness Within” up on the shelf for publication…~

After doing a little research, I found some mud was slung in their direction. Because I like to give all people the benefit of the doubt, I gave LWA the opportunity to tell “their side” of the story. I would like to believe that your company is not a scam, as I have been burned in the past, and things like scams waste my time and money, and get me no closer to publication than I already am. Why are you so hated by so many? / / AEG: The short answer is that we don’t fit anybody’s mold. We’re different, and we’re already bigger than the industry pundits know what to do with. In the last 6 months, we’ve published over 250 authors and we’re selling 1500 books a week for them. We expect to sell over 150,000 books for our authors next year, and a million books by 2010 if we keep growing at this pace. We are also one of the few companies already doing joint ventures into China and Australia for our authors. / / We have venture capitalists approaching us and we are ‘squeaky clean” from an accounting and legal perspective and we are also considering going public. Believe me, if there was anything to anyone’s allegations it would have been a deal killer by now. The industry is realizing that the fastest way to separate the good from the bad, is how much time and energy the author has spent developing their craft. That’s what we want. We won’t stomach or tolerate “something for nothing” people, and that attitude has perhaps become misconstrued. / / / / DG: That all sounds nice, but really, why all the negative press? / / AEG: We have really tried to listen to the marketplace and we have made certain adjustments to the way we do business, however, we are very clear about one thing, we only want committed authors with edited, or reviewed work. That means that we only want authors that have been edited, or are willing to get help and assistance. So, what happens is this, we say, “your work needs help”, and immediately we are jumped on. Why authors think that they get the world for free is beyond me. We can make EVERY author a better author, and we do, it just costs some money, and this is a business, so we’re used to investing in our business, why wouldn’t a writer invest in theirs? / / We have tried to dialog with P&E, Writers Beware, SFWA, etc. Unfortunately, those people are so backward-minded and stuck, that they really didn’t listen, so we now ignore them and we just keep chugging. Frankly, and I don’t want to be mean about it, but we think some of our authors make more in one month than that crowd has made in their in their entire writing career. We suggest that authors make up their own mind, and not rely on anyone else when forming their opinion, especially minor-leaguers. / / / / DG: Ok, I can understand that you tell authors that they must improve, and I agree with how important that is, but what about the fact that you refer them to your own company? / / / R: That “own company” that you are referring to is now the second largest editing and services company in the world, second only to Scribendi. Frankly, the editing companies that we used to refer to were very ‘mom and pop” and couldn’t do the work and handle our volume. So in order to keep prices down, and turnaround quick, we built our own company. Also, the press release about the two companies working together has been on the web for years now. We don’t hide the fact that the companies are working hand in hand. They have to be to handle the kind of growth and volume that we have created. In short, it’s a big business, we’re global, and it works well for the author, and for us. Frankly, we can do editing faster and cheaper than any editing company in the world. Have you ever noticed how many domain names the Children’s Writing Institute uses? We spend a lot of time on Google pay-per-click for our authors, and we’ve seen at least six names for them, for sure, that go back to their site or a clone of their site. I’m sure you are aware of search engine optimization. The simple truth is that as Google has changed it’s algorithms, we have changed our domain names so that we get better positioning. It’s that simple. Also, as partners and principals have come and gone, new companies, with new stock allocations have been formed. That’s part and parcel of a small business. / / And, we are very proud of this, we are starting the wheels in motion to setup a stock ownership plan for our employees and even our authors. We’ll probably undergo another name change at that time . . . that’s how it works for rapidly growing businesses. / / / DG: C’mon . . . if there’s smoke, there has to be fire, what about all this stuff about criminal backgrounds, investigations, etc.? / / / AEG: We have less than 1% complaint rate. They really have nothing better to do, so they report us, and write about us, blah, blah, blah…it’s become laughable. And the information is wrong. It’s identity theft with a twist. Let’s say that I decided to “get you” for one reason or another. It’s simple really. All I have to do is google search “your name – criminal records” and I will get plenty of hits, of your name, in all kinds of criminal situations. Then all I do is copy and paste that info into 3-4 sites, anonymously, and you’re screwed. I guarantee it. You’ll never live it down and never clean it up. Believe me, we’ve tried. Also, we’ve been investigated up and down, and nothing had ever come of it. The fact is that these days any disgruntled person can file a complaint with the authorities. Furthermore, we’ve cooperated fully with anyone that has asked and our business model has held up. / / We do what we say, we tell the author up front what to expect, we never over-promise, and we deliver. / We have a real business that helps authors that are willing to help themselves that’s why all this stuff about investigations and backgrounds, etc. is such misinformation. / / / / DG: Here’s another one, why do you even advertise? I thought agencies didn’t need to advertise? / / AEG: We still have requests from publishers that we can’t fill. We still find great books to publish every day because of our advertising. Early on we learned that more is better. Our business strategy since day one, is to have ‘depth off the bench’. And that strategy is paying off. Why do you think the agency is so valuable to the publisher? Frankly, we think the agency has provided over 100 authors “ready to go” to the publisher. Those authors are now making money and receiving royalty checks. Those authors will be part of the 100,000 – 1 MM books we’ll be selling in the medium term future. / / / / DG: Over 100 authors published? Prove it . . And did the agency take a commission since you merged? Isn’t that ‘double dipping”? / / / R: No commission was taken by the agency. Period. Guaranteed. Our best advice is to trust yourself and dive in. Sometimes analysis = paralysis. You can’t win if you don’t play, so we say, “get out there, get bloody, improve, take your lumps, learn, learn, learn” and as Winston Churchill said, “never, never give up”. / / All of our contracts have ‘easy out’ clauses, so if we don’t perform, you can fire us. By the same token, if the author won’t perform, we can, and will fire them. I am not endorsing anyone, but I do think that everyone deserves a chance to be heard. Frankly, my personal opinion is that those sites have gone too far, and are doing a dis-service for writers and this company. Perhaps these guys made mistakes in the past, but I have a hard time arguing with 250 published authors and 1500 books a week being sold within 6 months of operations. (I looked at the royalty reports). / / At the end of the day, DG says: Make up your own mind. Now…. / Normally, the initials DG might seem a little innocuous to some, but to those who know what they stand for, they know that they belong to the ONE and ONLY Deleriousgirl… And…according to DG, WLA misrepresented her. DG’s account of WLA is thusly: Hi the very real DG here. I was an employee of AEG Publishing for around two months before I was ripped off by this Robert person (at this point I have doubts that that’s even his real name). I DID NOT write the interview that he is STILL apparently sending out with MY email address still attached to it (what a dumbass). I did write an interview with this Robert person, but it was very very different from THIS ONE as I had no idea of most of this stuff in this interview. And another warning to anybody answering any ads for marketing/writing/editing jobs from this company: THEY ONLY WANT TO USE YOU FOR FREE WORK and will string you along with promises of a rosy future “when the economy picks back up” among OTHER blather. The truth of the matter is that this Robert person apparently has around 200 company email addresses and he PRETENDS to be different editors, PR people, and marketers to make people think he has a REAL company going. My story is this: On Dec. 15th I had a horrible death in my immediate family (my brother) and had to travel to a town about 400 miles away to take care of all that. At this point Robert was about 3 weeks behind in my pay, yet he was sending me daily and sometimes HOURLY emails of more stuff he wanted me to do. I even continued to answer author emails and concerns while trying to plan (and pay for) my dead sibling’s funeral. I called and emailed Robert DAILY, telling him that I NEEDED the money he owed me, I had to buy food for a wake, clothes for my dead brother to be buried in, flowers, all kinds of unexpected expenses. Which I told him about. NO RESPONSE. This rocks on for over a month. NO PAY. He didn’t even have the BALLS to call or even send an email telling me ANYTHING, but one day I tried to log onto the co. software program and was locked out. So, the moral of this little story is: I don’t care how broke you are, how much he offers you, or how he tries to put a good face on this bunch of company names that he goes by. . . DON’T DO IT. My personal assessment is just this: NO INTEGRITY AND NO BALLS. To be continued in To Be or not to Be III

Thank you Deleriousgirl for shedding some light on an otherwise potentially detrimental situation. I’m so very sorry that you had to endure so much trash and hardship from people who profess integrity, namely AEG, aka Writers Literary Agency. Now, I want it to be understood at this time, that I am just a little more than pissed at these scammers who are trying to take advantage of, or otherwise exploit the supposed weakness of Dreamers. Dreamers are not weak! At least this one isn’t. And I have had enough of the crap that scammers are trying to feed people. The bottom-line: If you are a scammer, you better hope that I don’t find out about you! I will exploit you! I will do everything within my capacity to ruin you. Because quite frankly I think that if there is a hell, it is reserved for your kind; a place where you can feed off the filth of each other, along with a happy helping of worms and maggots. I have been trying to find a way into reputable publishing for the past two years now, and the last thing that I need is to have my time wasted by a bunch of assholes!! Neither do I appreciate the way that you are treating others with your illusionary crap; taking their money and promising them things that you have no intention of fulfilling. You therefore better hope that your imagination is far better than mine; and that you have more names than I do members of my audience, because I am on to you. And I will let everyone know about you that need be warned concerning your shitty nature. There are enough things in life to discourage people, without them having to waste their time and money on your bullshit! Others are taking a stand against you, and now so am I. So you better hope that your scams and theatrics are enough to fool me and those around me, because we’re pushing back; it is time that you all went down. And may you all rot while you’re doing it!!
