Because one day He will also left us. You know why? / Because, we the human beings became inhuman… / We lost our values, our soul, we forgot our heart(s)... / We are now violent, intolerant… Ignoring those who need us. We lost humanity. We lost ourselves. / The angel is dying, slowly but surely. / We killed Him. / Our nature has changed… My gallery is Copyright © Wandering Soul. Lainers the Happy Lil Dead Girl by Paul Rees-Jones She floats around the light, / That shining orb so bright. She knows its ringing call, / But doesn’t want it at all. Skin so white, cheeks pink and red, / Content in being the living dead. Her friends are cold, just like her, / Living and playing, just like they were. And oh the joy of pranks and scares, / To those who trespass without cares. Moaning and groaning like a ghost, / Is something she like the most. Flying free, spinning in a whirl, / Lainers the happy lil dead girl.

While testing out the new (at the time) Aquarel pigment sticks, I needed a large project on paper, so I got the biggest sheet of paper I’ve ever seen and launched into a drawing that would end up taking me 6 months on and off. / The sleep of reason begets monsters. I consider this my masterpiece at this point because it took the longest time, I used a new medium, and it’s the largest work on paper I’ve ever attempted.
First Artwork I have done for quite a while, hope you like it :-) “There is a Native American legend that says, ” If you have a secret wish, capture a butterfly and whisper your wish to it. Since butterflies cannot speak, your secret is ever safe in their keeping. Release the butterfly, and it will carry your wish to the Great Spirit, who alone knows the thoughts of butterflies. By setting the butterfly free, you are helping to restore the balance of nature, and your wish will surely be granted.” The butterfly is a powerful symbol for transformation. It leaves the safety of the cocoon in it’s new form. This is an excellent image for anyone contemplating, or in the midst of a major change. A butterfly is a strong symbol of metamorphosis, with distinct stages. The butterfly is a reminder to make changes when the opportunity arises. Change and transformation are inevitable for us all, but it does not have to be traumatic.Butterfly symbolism is also closely tied to the idea of spirits and souls. It has been used in many religions and cultures. Psyche is the Greek word for both soul and butterfly. The belief was that butterflies were human souls searching for a new reincarnation, which gave the creature uncanny and sometimes ominous connotations. This symbolism was also used in early Christianity as a symbol of the soul. Celts thought that women became pregnant by swallowing butterfly souls. These butterfly-souls flew about seeking a new mother.” info from http://kc.8m.com/bflysym.html

/ The Morrigan is a Celtic goddess of battle, strife, and fertility. Her name translates as either “Great Queen” or “Phantom Queen,” and both epithets are entirely appropriate for her. The Morrigan appears as both a single goddess and a trio of goddesses. The Morrigan frequently appears in the ornithological guise of a hooded crow. She is one of the Tuatha Dé Danann (“Tribe of the goddess Danu” or the land of the Faries) and she helped defeat the Firbolg at the First Battle of Mag Tuireadh and the Fomorians at the Second Battle of Mag Tuireadh. She is often read about in books that are about the Fae. She appeared to the hero Cu Chulainn (son of the god Lugh) and offered her love to him. When he failed to recognize her and rejected her, she told him that she would hinder him when he was in battle. When Cu Chulainn was eventually killed, she settled on his shoulder in the form of a crow. Cu’s misfortune was that he never recognized the feminine power of sovereignty that she offered to him. She appeared to him on at least four occasions and each time he failed to recognize her. 1.When she appeared to him and declared her love for him. / 2.After he had wounded her, she appeared to him as an old hag and he offered his blessings to her, which caused her to be healed. / 3.On his way to his final battle, he saw the Washer at the Ford, who declared that she was washing the clothes and arms of Cu Chulainn, who would soon be dead. / 4.When he was forced by three hags (the Morrigan in her triple aspect) to break a taboo of eating dogflesh. / / Resources: Background: Funky Terrain by MatrixStock http://matrixstock.deviantart.com/art/Funky-Terrain-2-72714593 and Misty Ocean by LucieG-Stock http://lucieg-stock.deviantart.com/art/Misty-ocean-1-104660883 Woman by dazzle-stock http://dazzle-stock.deviantart.com/art/No-Sleep-For-The-Wicked-108278956 Crow brushes by lugubrum-stock http://lugubrum-stock.deviantart.com/art/Lugubrum-stock-crowbrush-53834827 All artworks contained herein have been created in Photoshop CS3 or Photographed, by Adara Rosalie, and are all original artworks. / My gallery is Copyright © 2008-2009 Adara Rosalie.
