  • The Heavens Were Made
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Ge 1:14: ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: / Ge 1:15: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. / Ge 1:16: And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. / Ge 1:17: And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, / Ge 1:18: And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:19: And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. / _____ Job 26:7: He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. / _____ Ps 33:6: By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. / Ps 33:7: He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. / Ps 33:8: Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. / Ps 33:9: For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. / ____ I used a drawing of the Earth and overlays of images created with Apophysis Fractal Art program. • Soar the Heavens
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

My wings soar the heavens, / caught in the nightwind, / carried by a moonbeam, / far above the horizon. / I see the cliffs below. My eyes search the distance, / a flicker of light perhaps / will reflect off the moon to guide me / to a place where you are waiting. / I beseach the shadows below. My heart longs for your nearness, / and pounds deep within my breast, / aching from the memory of you, / the sweet scent of your essence. / Come to me from the rocks below. My wings grow weary in my flight, / my endless quest our souls to re-unite / to feel your warm sweet touch / upon my furrowed brow. / For hours I have circled the shores below. My soul cannot go on without you, / of which you are my existence, / the very air I breath, / you are the other half of me. / Without you, I will end it on the earth below. I drift in the light of the moon / and wait for you to come to me soon. © amari / ____ I created this work with a composite of several of my photographs and a fractal image created with Apophysis fractal art program. Images were overlayed using Photoshop CS3. Digitally enhanced with Photomatix HDR, edited with Photoshop CS3 and Micrografx. I love the moon in the background with the Hawk sharing its light with one lone tree. Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. • Where Did the Time Go?
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Time is like green meadows of the mind, / Every passing slowly changing / imperceptible to the eye. Time is how we gauge the way we occupy our lives, / Can I do it or must I pass it by, / do I really have the time? Nothing happens that we know of / Lest it happen in a time. / To go beyond it challenges the creative mind. It seems to take forever / Going from infancy to growing up. / Then it’s over in the twinkling of an eye. Looking back at what has been, / We call upon memories to share with friends. / Where did the time go that I spent with my life? This work is part of my entry into the Fractal Frenzy Challenge. I could not resist adding a poem inpspired by the image. Fractal digital art created with Apophysis fractal art program. • Eclipse
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when one celestial object moves into the shadow of another. The term is derived from the ancient Greek noun ἔκλειψις (ékleipsis), from verb ἐκλείπω (ekleípō), “I cease to exist,” a combination of prefix ἐκ- (ek-), from preposition ἐκ, ἐξ (ek, ex), “out,” and of verb λείπω (leípō), “I am absent”.[1] When an eclipse occurs within a stellar system, such as the Solar System, it forms a type of syzygy—the alignment of three or more celestial bodies in the same gravitational system along a straight line. The term eclipse is most often used to describe either a solar eclipse, when the Moon’s shadow crosses the Earth’s surface, or a lunar eclipse, when the Moon moves into the shadow of Earth. However, it can also refer to such events beyond the Earth-Moon system: for example, a planet moving into the shadow cast by one of its moons, a moon passing into the shadow cast by its parent planet, or a moon passing into the shadow of another moon. A binary star system can also produce eclipses if the plane of their orbit intersects the position of the observer / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This is a digital fantasy art creation using my artwork and fractal art overlays created using Apophysis. • Enigma
    by Dorothy Venter

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Rising out of the mist were beings of pure light … / Fractals rendered in Apophysis.

  • Pyrite Up Close
    by Leoni Venter

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is a close-up of my previous picture Pyrite . I changed some Poser settings .. most notably I made the reflection maps spherical maps in stead of ray-traced … the main result is that this took about 15 minutes to render, while the ray-traced one took 4 days. It looks good enough but I must say I think the ray-traced one has a special glow to it that is lacking here. But considering the saving in time … ah well :) Background image generated with Apophysis. A tiny little bit of post work done in Photoshop, notably on the eye. Thanks to Dave for suggestions about this image :) Larger version available for download.
