This is an amazing tree! I have drived by it many times, without even noticing its beauty before! This time the light held me up, and really just a chance to look at it! Then I could not help but photograph it, and when I got closer I smelled just how sweet it smelled! I was getting even closer, and then noticed the bees liked it too! This was one of the best shots!
This is a bit different; the primary image was shot from the inside of an ice cave in North Eastern CA two years ago…...Ice caves are prominent in this part of California due to the volcanism that dominates the area. It was a bit on the “blah” side so I dressed it up a bit just for fun…..the moon is mine; the bubbles are graciously donated by PhotoImpact11…PLEASE VIEW IN LARGE FORMAT FOR THE BEST IMPACT…. / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. I had some time to get out in the back field tonight. I was picking up pears and apples before the deer moved in to eat them up.. I had a chance also to pick up a few sticks that fall from the winds .. As I was bending down next to this big old tree I heard a snuckle sound.. Hard to put into words.. So its a snuckle. I looked closer and there was this Root Troll who had crawled into a tree root cavern. I walked away like I did not see him.. Went to get my camera because I knew that my friends on RB would never believe my story without proof… Well upon my return I found him fast asleep. I got down real low and pulled the flash up and fired away.. Well he woke up on the first flash and the second caught him good. He started rooting around if you know what I mean so I had to leave before his eyes came back to normal so he could then see.. I did not want him coming up to where I rest and scaring the crap out of me.. I think I am safe putting this up on RB.. He does not look like the type to get online.. Then he may want to fine me for posting his picture without permission.. Please do not ask me to let you come over to take his picture.. I think he helps the deer clean the apples and pears up.. The wall is silence, the grass is asleep, / Tall trees of peace their vigil keep, / And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled / Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world. / ~Ida Rentoul Outhwaite / /
You must know the famous story by H P Lovecraft. (If you are a geek like me) Cthulhu brings absolute terror beyond human understanding. So there! Scared now? My versions is lil bit robotic and not really scary… but he has ninja stars and two girl pilots (who are very lazy). Other designs by /

This fractal reminded me of the words from that well known song from “Over The Rainbow”! These fantacy lemon drops, do look delicious too! “Someday I’ll wish upon a star / and wake up / where the clouds are far behind me / Where troubles melt like lemon drops / away above the chimney tops / that’s where you’ll find me”

Losing Face The loss of credibility / Through actions of our own / Can bring shame upon us, / Behavior we claim or disown. The thunderous crash of ego, / Flashing with false integrity, / Tidal waves of self-importance / Are flooded with human debris. The loss of face can haunt us, / Limiting ones ability to transform, / Unless we work to lose the masks / That cause the ego’s shameful storm. Desire will hold the door open, / Humility welcomes us inside, / Change is always an option, / When we drop the masks of pride. Losing the face of presence / And owning a state of grace / Allows us to become our visions, / Being our truths without disgrace. / Jamie Sams Encaustic Painting / Support: Encaustic paper / Size: 8×10 / Tools: hot plate, iron, hot air gun / Medium: colored wax, clear beeswax and powder
