  • Ocean Beach, Northern California … what a gorgeous day at the beach… decent size waves crashing in caused a LOT of mist all along the shore! AWE-SOME! Isn’t it funny how at the beach everyone’s worries just melt away? My biggest draw to beaches … feeling free of worry. This shot is one that needs to be looked at carefully.. the best parts about it, in my opinion, are the silhouettes in the mist.. . if you look carefully (left to right…) you will see one about to throw a football, you will see a child riding on anothers back, random groups of people, friends, families, a girl with pig-tails digging in the sand… it’s just so beautiful to watch life. Live and love people… Thank you so much for looking!

  • I awaken to delight, oh Blessed Promise. You have revealed to me your kindness and mercies in the rising of the golden orb. May I, in this day, achieve heightened awareness of your lasting peace, and extend eternal love and renewal to all that I meet. Blessings to all who read this. • And as I learn I’ll share with you The thorny rose still fresh with dew, Where faeries weave their webs of thought And sprinkle them with words they’ve caught. I’ll stand there listening to the winds And kiss the Spirits that they send. The feathery touch of aerial ones. Sweet muses of the midnight sun, Whispering words of softest wisdom, Caressing us with gentle freedom. I’ll share with you all that I learn, And then one day twill be your turn To hold the rose still fresh with dew Where faeries wait for me and you. • Drop of love, drop of light, drop of healing, three drops of blessings from the Giver of Life. On this auspicious day, may I be ever vigilant to the energies which move around and about me. Dryads, Fae, bring to my heart the Knowledge of the Mounds. Help me to better understand my place in this vast and wondrous play of which I have a part. Bathed in shadows and cleansed by the Moon, may the Keeper of Wisdom indwell my soul. As the fullness of Maia is revealed by the circle, may we all be kept safe in the holiness of Her kindness. Make sain our beings at this most beautiful of times. • As the Summer Wind brings change to the land, so does the ever present breath of life move within my soul. Three Moments are delivered from the Shadows to me. Moment of Endurance, Moment of Strengthening, Moment of Enlightenment. Three guiding breezes wrapped warmly about and around my being. In this day of brightness, may I ever be in mind of the kindness I have been shown. Thrice blessed, in all ways and always. May all within and without the circle be kept safe and free from harm. Make sain my soul in these times of awakening. • I can assure you that tonight there is not a picture I’ve put up that means more to me than this one. It was difficult to adjust the focus as my tears were fogging up the viewfinder. Pulling them in with the 300 mm lense…I knew it was too dark out. I knew the pictures weren’t going to be technically “good”. / Both girls had come into the house crying earlier in the evening. Trembling… bruised.. grass stained. They had made a sharp turn with the 4-wheeler and flipped it at the end of our driveway. All of our kids have been driving this four wheeler since they were about seven years old. Lately I’ve watched the girls grow more daring. More bold. Our warnings to “slow down” and “stay in the yard” began to carry less weight in the lightness of their own sense of immortality. Aside from some minor “road rash” they are essentially unharmed. / Thank God. It was a typical friday in Fall in many ways: Indian summer weather with a blazing orange sunset and harvest moon. Our family of six, spread out now as the kids grow older. My oldest boy working at the grocery store in town. My other son playing at a football game in a town an hour away. My husband bringing the hay in from the alfalfa field as the sun touches the horizon. And me with my camera watching my girls and our two dogs race up and down the driveway in youthful exhuberance. Every night when I lay my head down on my pillow at night… I know I wont’ sleep until the last one has walked in the door. I worry about them driving. I worry about them getting injured in sports. I worry about their grades. I worry about their wrecklessness. I worry that they don’t sleep enough, eat enough, study enough. What mother doesn’t. Right? I’ve seen a lot of kids carried off the football field. Every game I pray that it won’t be mine. My husband works with the Sheriff’s Department on weekends in a college town. Lots of drinking and partying. Lots of stories about kids in car wrecks. I pray every time they turn the key to go somewhere. And all my life I’ve grown up hearing stories of farm accidents. We all grew up around the tractors and 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. My kids are no different. As I watched the girls skipping up the driveway tonight, I knew that one prayer in particular had been answered today: / God, please keep them safe. / I know this is long. But if you have kids, (or really just anyone you love!)............... I hope this will remind you to pull them closer. / /

  • A special bond exists between mother and daughter.

  • As I was looking at this photo, I began to think about the trust a baby has in it’s parents. Oscar here trusts because he does not yet know the possibilities of what could happen. All he knows is that it is a a great place to sleep. He trusts because he has to trust. This is the way God is wants us to trust him. He wants us to babes in His hands. After all, “he has the whole world in his hands”. My son’s hands look strong and capable, however, I cannot see the Lords hands. So like this babe, I have to just assume that His hands are too. There is one big difference. The lord promises us that he will “Never leave or forsake us.” Man cannot say the same, because even if my son wanted to never leave or forsake his son, there may come a time when he might have to. My hope for my life is that I will trust the Lord the way Oscar trusts his daddy. Simply with blind faith, to believe that I can trust that I can.. /

  • Featured in the “This is Relevant” and the “Good News” groups on the same day 6/21/09. WOW! My thanks to the Hosts / It has been written, it has been said… that God is the highest that our souls can reach, the highest vision that we can see within ourselves. That to atone is to be at one with creation, in essence to be in harmony with all that is. This then is in homage to the most high. In April, 2008 Steve Morton from Canada sent me an instrumental that he had written and recorded called “Rejoice” and asked me to try to come up with something. That same day his music inspired me to write the song “Rejoice.” I had purchased “Faces of Africa” and saw a photo of a little Masai girl leaping through the air in shear joy. It spoke perfectly to the spirit of the music and to the song. I drew my version of the picture with RoseArt colored pencils in honor of Drawing Day on June 6, 2009, and called it “Rejoice.” The image here was enhanced with Photoshop’s plastic filter and textured on canvas. The image and the song, to my mind, express harmony, inspiration and rejoicing. (Click the following title to hear the song) Rejoice! / Words & Melody written & performed by RoyAllenHunt / Music Composed & performed by Steve (Morty) Morton © April 28, 2008 When I woke up this morning and I opened up my eyes I took that first God given breath and with it I realized what a great, great joy it is just to be alive with the whole day in front of me to bring the dream to the light. Give us this day our daily bread, grant us grace not to war but live in peace instead, to love each other just as you have said and one voice that we may all sing and Rejoice. There’s no need to live in fear if we—to one rule adhere. Treat each other as sisters and brothers holding each other dear, loving while we can. We may not pass this way again. And what a shame should they leave before they understand in them we Rejoice. Some will not respond to the call. They may not come at all. But others will hear and echo too and in their thoughts and deeds, follow through and they too will - Rejoice - in everything they say. Rejoice every step along the way. Rejoice and pass this sure thing on. Rejoice and many will sing along. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! / Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! They may not come at all. But others will hear you and in their thoughts and deeds they’ll follow through and they too will Rejoice - in everything they say. Rejoice every step along the way. Rejoice and then pass this sure thing on. Rejoice and many will sing along. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!
