You’re not alone / Together we stand / I’ll be by your side, you know I’ll take your hand / When it gets cold / And it feels like the end / There’s no place to go / You know I won’t give in / No I won’t give in Keep holding on / ‘Cause you know we’ll make it through, we’ll make it through / Just stay strong / ‘Cause you know I’m here for you, I’m here for you / There’s nothing you could say / Nothing you could do / There’s no other way when it comes to the truth / So keep holding on / ‘Cause you know we’ll make it through, we’ll make it through So far away / I wish you were here / Before it’s too late, this could all disappear / Before the doors close / And it comes to an end / With you by my side I will fight and defend / I’ll fight and defend / Yeah, yeah Keep holding on / ‘Cause you know we’ll make it through, we’ll make it through / Just stay strong / ‘Cause you know I’m here for you, I’m here for you / There’s nothing you could say / Nothing you could do / There’s no other way when it comes to the truth / So keep holding on / ‘Cause you know we’ll make it through, we’ll make it through Hear me when I say, when I say I believe / Nothing’s gonna change, nothing’s gonna change destiny / Whatever’s meant to be will work out perfectly Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne

Great Falls park, Virginia side, during a strong snowstorm. It was quite a challenge to get there that day. The usual road was blocked by a fallen tree and I had to backtrack and circle around a number of miles to find an open road. It took good tires, slow driving and four-wheel drive. By the time I arrived, the snow was about 12 inches deep and still falling, though lighter. The only other people present when I arrived were the park rangers. A few hardy souls arrived by the time I’d made this image. Canon 20D, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L…and most importantly… a sturdy tripod. Featured in “Virginia”
These mums always bloom last, after all of the others are finished. This year they bloomed so late that they got frosted. I feel as if I should hang tinsel on them. lol! / /
Alaskan Autumn is a painting meant to represent some of the best scenery that Alaska offers. Fall-time is a favorite of many in Alaska, a time of harvest , hunting and also a time when we all enjoy watching the geese fly south for the winter, after impressing everyone with thier beauty all summer. The only thing I didn’t include in this painting was the winter woodpile, as they tend to be rather large in Alaska and would have filled up the painting…haha. Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year.
A winter shot of the mist and ice around Niagara Falls This is one of my very first pictures captured with the Nikon Coolpix 8800 in 2005. I still like this image.
When my sister of the heart, Annie, visited us for a week, we visited Looking Glass Falls in Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina, following a very cold spell. Here’s one of the pictures taken at the bottom of the falls using the Orton effect to soften the edges. It was very cold, but so lovely and quiet.
When an extraordinary snowfall pulls a handbrake on the self-admiring civilization obsessed with text messaging, traffic control is passed to a higher power, meaning, everything pretty much stops. Everything but the mighty TranzAlpine.

Made in UF 5 The subtle changes in gradient remind me of music is infinite just like fractals are. This is a single layer fractal.
I made this image in UF 5 for the snowflake challenge for The Ultimate UF5 and Beyond. I used the Mandala beta Julia formula in the tma.ufm / On the outside I used Doodads in the ldm.ucl / /
