An image with a message in it for me at least. I hope you enjoy. A trio of cottonwood leaves frzone into the ice along the Yakima River. One gold, 2 orange, one pointed West and 2 pointed North. A lesson in diversity of color and direction from nature. There is beauty in all!
On January 17, 2009, after very cold temps the night before, I joined the many photographers huddle together taking pictures of Looking Glass Falls in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. I’ve never seen these falls so icy!! To make the picture more dramatic, I layered another close-up image of ice and blended onto the rock face using PhotoShop. ICE WORLD WAS FEATURED IN THE WATERFALL PHOTOGRAPHY, SEASONAL SCAPES AND ALL OF NORTH CAROLINA GROUPS IN FEBRUARY, 2009!!! THANK YOU MODERATORS AND FRIENDS!!!
Cyclamen rev up in the fall and keep on shining through the winter and into spring – a very welcome sight when all the leaves outside have fallen and the sun forgets to shine. 9”x 9” watercolor on Arches 140 cold press. This image is available as an 11”x 14” print by contacting me directly through Bmail.
Simply water droplets and the patterns they make… This is condensation on a water bottle, I used my macro lens for this one and the background was my computer screen. :D Enjoy!

I honestly don’t remember how long ago I took this, it has to be at least 2 years ago, it was taken in Owen Sound at Ingils Falls, I have other shots of it in my portfolio, just not a winter one. I just played around with it a bit and this is what I came up with. I wanted it to have really good details and shadows and light. I hope you all like it! thanks so much for commenting and viewing! Please look at in larger view for details!!! =)smile / / /

A close-up shot of Yosemite Falls with ice on the cliffs. Nikon D80 with 200mm lens at 1/400 sec. and f/5.0. ISO 200. This was taken in April when the mornings are still in the 20’s and low 30’s in Yosemite Valley and the mist from the falls freezes to the canyon wall. I used 1/400 sec. to ‘freeze’ the action of the water as opposed to allowing for movement that would in this case would detract from the composition.
Transition of seasons….
