Taken 14th April 2008, capturing the crepuscular rays from below the horizon capturing the rain falling ever so lightly to the ground! If only it would bucket down… we neeeed the rain! Near Yorketown, South Australia
The impressive Corra Linn, is a 27m high waterfall. It is described as Britain’s largest waterfall (in terms of volume of water). It is not the tallest, that would be Eas-Coul-Aulin near Kylesku at just over 200m. Corra Linn is on the river Clyde, close to the New Lanark World Heritage Site, a beautifully restored 18th century cotton mill village in Southern Scotland. Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Photomatix. BEST VIEWED LARGER Related shots can be found at: Lowland Scotland or you can look at all my HDR shots. /
It’s inevitable, the leaves always fall in the Fall. Please enjoy the forecast!

I enhanced one of my photographs: I increased some of the colors and gave it a subtle strubture. Before I took the photograph I took some transparant folie and a spraycan with water :) / Hope you like this abstract. / Digital work: Thea Walstra / /

A November evening at Rose Valley Lake in central Pennsylvania. A light drizzle was punctuated by a very welcome short burst of sunshine. The dampness intensified the bold autumn colors that were just at their peak. The short burst of sunlight brought the entire scene to life! This photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4L Professional lens, zoomed to 70mm. Shutter speed was 1/30th sec. @ f/13. The ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used. Your comments are always welcome! © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist. This is one of the first shots that I have ever taken and which I recently re-worked a little. I had set out in downtown Ottawa to go and play with my then camera. From that came On a Rainy Day and this one which I have just unburied.
This is the stream leading up to the waterfall, Hardraw Scar behind the Green Dragon pub at Hawes, in the heart of the North Yorkshire Dales. The stream was in a good flow given the recent rain, which was still falling. Converted into infrared in PSP

This was Somersby Falls like I had never seen it before. The June storm from 2007 which caused havoc and mayhem across the Hunter and Central Coast dumped unbelievable amounts of water. This image of Somersby falls was taken about 40 minutes after sunrise on the Saturday Morning so it will be among the first images to catch this scene of the falls raging after the storm. The noise of the falls was almost deafening and the spray had me damp before I got to the base of the falls. The water was up and over my shoes while taking this image. It is presented now as I thought that i had lost this image along with many others after a harddrive failure. / Image taken with a Nikon D70 and the 18-70mm lens. The apeture was full open at f3.5 to get a fast exposure time to freeze the water action. Featured in In the Eyes of Danger / Featured in Central Coast and Hunter
