Falling raining

  • Junction Falls is located in South Lawson Park which is the town I grew up in (Blue Mountains).

  • I went out on a trike ride this afternoon. Only 20% chance of rain, except we got 100% of the 20% that was expected. I kept saying to my self, hmmm, water makes the colors more saturated. What colors??? So here is the only one of the batch that I can post. We are half way between summer and fall. Rain is in the forecast, and I can forget about getting out to take pictures of the moon anytime soon

  • too much paperwork? / something amusing for those in the midst of exam =P

  • Akaka Falls, Hawaii. Waterfall in Northern Hawaii in tropical rainforest. Everything was wet and moist. I got this shot in before it started raining again. / / Click on the buy/preview button to see the many RedBubble print options for this photo.

  • Fall Down on me like Rain
    by Brett Foster

Would you like to feel that I am here / to catch your tears with mine? / Would I see your smile if I told you / that you fall on me divine?

  • Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain.

Check out my autumn art A rather unconventional colour for autumn, but I like it just the same. In case it has gone unnoticed, I absolutely love this particular Photoshop leaf brush. The background is an old painting.

  • Bright Autumn colour

  • Soz….can’t resist…..all this autumn colour just blows my mind….the only autumn colour we get in the subtropics is the sunburnt faces of people who stay out in the sun, and the various flowering shrubs…Lensbaby 3 with no aperture disk (barebaby), Canon 5D Bright Autumn colour

  • Duck Pond, Hudson, Quebec Canada September 2008, rainy day “Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. ~Elizabeth Lawrence”

  • “Rainy Day On The Mulberry River” / Fall has arrived!!!!! As Is…...... / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Sometimes during the fall season, Arkansas is subjected to rain storms rolling in. It makes the light for photography a bit more difficult, but it doesn’t dampen my spirit because it sure adds mood. With the cool air meeting the / warn air, in comes the fog, adding a warmer touch to the otherwise bold colors of this fall scene along the Mulberry River. This shot was taken by turning off from Highway 23 South, also known as the “Scenic Pig Trail Bypass”, on to Arkansas State Highway 112. A beautiful highway for a fall scenic drive, as it twists and turns along the Mulberry River and its many tributaries. / / Featured photo in Stream Crossings 11-16-2008 / Featured Photo and Artist in Country Bumpkin 11-16-08

  • Proceeds from sales of this image go to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal – donations in turned matched by Redbubble A brief stop on the way to Minnamurra Falls in the Budderoo National Park (about 15 mks inland from Kiama on the South Coast of NSW – Australia) yielded this very unusual scene – with cool rain and mist following on from the 40 degree days previously, it was almost like being suddenly transported to England! • The remote and beautiful First Creek, Errinundra Plateau, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. I got up at 5:30am drove almost 200km much of it over mountain roads, found that the road to the start of the walk was closed so walked 6km to get to the start then walked another 3km through thick bush to get to the top of the falls where the fun really began. On the entire walk in, the sun was blazing and the few shots I took were terrible the contrast being too great to record properly but just as I reached the falls a very thick cloud layer descended offering me as good a lighting condition as is possible for this kind of photography. Below the main falls the country becomes quite steep and I climbed in and out of it until 6:00pm before walking back. I reached the track in last light then walked the 6km back before returning home getting to bed at 1:30am. A tiring but extremely satisfying day. • What a wonderful place to get my head back on straight. This is Rose Valley Lake in north central Pennsylvania, taken at the peak of fall’s natural color display. This photo was taken just before sunset with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec at f/13. The camera’s ISO was set to 200. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome! • Last week i went with a mate to Mt Field National Park for 3 days and we were planning to get on the top part of the mountain called The Tarn Shelf, but it visibility was so poor and rain so consistent that the chance of getting any photos would have been pretty poor, so we decided to just shoot the waterfalls and rivers/creeks, it was good to just walk around at a casual pace. / We’ve haven’t had this much rain in a few days for 20 odd years in Tas, so all the falls were flowing quite nicely. / It was great to get back in the wilderness, although when we walked into the cabin for the first time to find a woman that had tried to kill herself there was a little shock, but we and some other people in the other huts all helped out in any way they could, we got an ambo(2 showed up) there and she ended up being ok which was a relief. So that was a bit of a drama but the rest of the shoot was great, and so good to get all this rain, it’s amazing how green everything is now.

  • Believe it or not, this is not a “fantasy” image, created in a computer. This is a real photograph of a very real place! This is Rainbow Falls, in Watkins Glen State Park, located in upstate New York at the lower end of Seneca Lake. It is one of the most unbelievable places I have ever seen! I thank God and NY State for this most beautiful place on earth! Lush green ground vegetation and beautiful trees punctuate the enormous rock cliffs and the numerous waterfalls. The sound of flowing water is like natures music that accompanies you throughout your hike in the gorge. This photograph was captured with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was f/4, shutter speed 1/15th sec at 40mm focal length. The camera & Lens were mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with a Manfrotto “joystick” ball head. A remote shutter release was used to minimize movement. No flash. Your comments are always welcome! • Last leaves on a rainy evening D200, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens

  • Fall storm clouds approaching a band of color

  • Grand Lake, Algonquin Park Ontario, CANADA / September 26th 2009 / Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens / The Orton Effect If I could paint I think I would like to work on impressionistic landscapes like this. A mixture of fall color, rain and fog. There is something mystical and magical about nature under these circumstances, and the soft gentle rain which brings out all the colors and softens all the edges.
