  • Multnomah Falls, Oregon, USA, Taken Summer Vacation 2007 Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The falls drops in two major steps, split into an upper falls of 542 feet (165 m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21 m), with a gradual 9 foot (3 m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet (189 m). Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the State of Oregon. / The Multnomah Creek Bridge on the Historic Columbia River Highway. / Colorized picture of the waterfall before the footbridge was addedUnderground springs from Larch Mountain are the year-round source of water for the waterfall, augmented by spring runoff from the mountain’s snowpack and rainwater during the other seasons. A foot trail leads to Benson Footbridge, a 45-foot (14 m)-long footbridge that allows visitors to cross 105 feet (32 m) above the lower cascade. The trail continues to a platform at the top of the upper falls, the Larch Mountain Lookout, where visitors get a bird’s-eye view of the Columbia Gorge and also of “Little Multnomah”, a small cascade slightly upstream from the “upper” falls, which is not visible from ground level. The footbridge is named after Simon Benson, who had the bridge built in 1914.[1] Photo taken by Canon IXUS My work is copyrighted and does not belong to the Public Domain Copyright:All Rights Reserved / Registered:Mon Mar 23 21:30:17 UTC 2009 / Fingerprint:Show digital fingerprint / d8131b583587455963e4e871bab7088b06eb562ff73f80d69f8e2defe4f7f042 / Title:Serenity / Description:Photo of Multnomah Falls Oregon USA / MCN:CB372-797DF-ED9B6 “Serenity” FEATURED FOR RB Homepage…...Thankyou so much RB:):):) / Plus…one of the top Ten in ‘The Best of Oregon” Challenge:):):) And ‘CONGRATULATIONS!!” To all the contestants and everyone who made the Top Ten:):) Proudly Taken By a Canon IXUS….Canon Simply the Best:=}

  • Taken today 27th Decmeber 2008 A stunning series of waterfalls located off the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. North wales, England Swallow Falls I set the camera on a tripod and experimented with the shutter speed, I used a high density filter x4 that I bought from ebay, the filter lowers the light similar to a polerizing filter, this ment I can open the shutter for longer periods of time and the image will not be too bright. panasonic dcm fx18 / focal length 15.4mm / 2.5 seconds shutter / f 8.0 / ISO 100 / HD x 4 filter / black and white

  • Hunting pheasants on the prairies of North Dakota with my brothers dog Shelby, we both decided we needed a break after a long hard push. I don’t know who was more tired her or me! Both our tongues were hanging out! Just shortly after this she did a beautiful point on a rooster and the game was on! Down the pheasant went and started running. She was all over the place but the bird finally stopped and she retrieved it! Truly they are “Man’s Best Friend” A side note for you hunters and non hunters out there.
