This is another shot from Zebedee Springs at El Questro in the Kimberley. The thermal springs are just lovely, both for the scenery and for a warm dip! To sit and soak in these warm springs is a treat indeed and a welcome break from the red dust of the Kimberley.

Fire ravaged this area along the Wenatchee River a few years back as evidenced by the still burnt tree trunks and dead snags along the river. Yet a you can see by the vibrant color like rebounds hince the title.

It has literally acres of gardens and walkways. A Stormy Autumn Colorado’s Longs Peak shrouded in Autumn thunderstorm clouds, stands towering above the quaking Aspen below. This scene was really something to see….the atmosphere was just to die for. The way the contrast played out with the yellow and gold Aspens against that dark sky was astonishing, the light was really changing fast so I had to be fairly quick while shooting this. I made a pilgrimage back to the same stretch of river I had explored in the other Pigeon River painting. This time it was leaf season and traffic was snarled for more than 20 miles as the procession of Fall leaf watchers hugged the edges of the mountains. I was never so glad to abandon the main road and take a break in this section of the river away from the city-stye traffic jam. Original ptg: 12” x 18” / acrylic on canvas private collection

The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area in northeastern Pennsylvania boasts many beautiful streams and waterfalls. This stream, in the Childs Park Recreation Area above Fulmer Falls happened to catch my eye, captured in full springtime flow.
