The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. I took this photo in Pontypool park. A great place to go for a stroll, its peaceful and pretty and this particular morning there were sunbeams where ever we looked. It was breathtaking. / / /

Summer Home
by BigDBest View Larger Feature in All Countries ~ Wetlands, Ponds, Lakes and Rivers group. / Feature in JPG Cast-Offs group. I love this place as a young boy because I grew up here. Us boys used to walked several several miles just to swim at this pond before it was develop. This was taken on 10/14/2008 in the morning. The place is in the village of Potterville, PA. My camera was a Rebel XTi with a Sigma 17-70mm lens and a circular polarizer. Other equipment was a tripod and calbe release. Edited in HDR software. Click view larger to really see the beauty. / /

Image taken at Triadelphia Reservoir off of Route 97 in Montgomery County, Maryland, October 26, 2009. Nikon D300 with the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens; UV and CP filters; hand held, shutter 1/100, aperture f/10.0, exp.0.00, iso 500. Post processing included hdr at +/- 2 evals in Photomatix from a single hand held image, and a very faint texture layer.
