I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Of course I have many different shots just like this :-) I posted a photo in color as well at a different time called – Approaching / Autumn / ....................................................................................................................... / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Click to View By Category: / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / - Waterfall Photos / - Selective Coloring / - Infrared Photos / - Black and White Photos / - Animal Photos / - Downtown Cleveland ............................................................................................................... / ................................................................................................................ /

Cold fall morning in the Yukon. As much as the sun looks warm, as cold as this morning was. Nature is so beautiful…
Spent blossoms caught in a spider web by the chook shed. Best viewed LARGE
In a magical moment between night and day, there is a special place and time. The time between seconds, when light and dark both have equal play. / So quick, so fleeting, this special time. / The blink of an eye and it is gone again. / The catch of a breath in the cold morning air, this special time between. / It is my passion to capture this time. / To freeze it and hold it forever. / An endless journey, an endless quest. / This one small moment in time. / Deri Dority 2007

Taken on top of Blue Knob, in Claysburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, in November of ‘07. I was using my Olympus C-5000 zoom then. Obsidian Dawn

This is the same road as shown in “A Golden Day” but taken in late afternoon as opposed to morning, and about a year later, October 12, 2008. This is also a bit earlier in the season than the previous scene, so the trees are much fuller. I used the Nikon D40x with the 18-135 lens and the polarizing filter. Blue Knob mountain, Pennsylvania. From the calendar:
Glenmore Reservoir, Calgary, Alberta, Canada This was one my very first photo’s I took. There were many things I had not yet picked up. I had the iso on auto, which I think for this photo was about 400 – 800. This led to much of the noise in the sky. I had the aperture set at f22, which at the time I thought was best to bring more of the photo in focus but I later found it can soften the overall image. I also did not own a tripod so I had to balance the camera on some rocks which made composing the scene much harder then normal and led to a small amount of camera shake. In the end though this became the first photo I had taken that I was truly proud of and solidified my passion for photography.
