Elowah falls tumbles some 200+ feet to the floor of the Columbia River Gorge. Taken on a rainy misty day in January. I never seen that much water coming over the falls.
Hiking down Havasu Creek.
We spent 3 magical days backpacking at Havasu Falls, one of the most beautiful place on our planet.

A rushing creek and a few fallen leaves taking a brief respite from thier rapid trip downriver via breeze and rushing water. The rocks offer a brief sacntuary before they are swept away into the coming winter.

As the water passes by me so does the Autumn season. By the time I am able to return to this spot the colors will have mostly been blown unto the winds. Seasons pass so quickly, much as our lives if we live for today and not for eternity. I am honored to have to selected as members all time favorite by Global Photo’s.”All his work is outstanding and showcases the very best nature has to offer. Was very hard to select just one. Have chosen this one because it is simply stunning. Gorgeous colours, lush greens and perfect exposure :))” http://www.redbubble.com/people/globalphotos

“Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

The bottom of the Upper Wattamolla Falls, Royal National Park. Can’t decide between the colour and the b/w. If you look very carefully you can see an angel in the middle of the falls in the coloured version but it disappears in the b/w – my daughter spotted it and I couldn’t see it for ages and then it just popped out at me. But I really like the contrast between the water and the rocks in the b/w so your feedback is most welcome Canon 30D Tv: 6 secs / Av: f/16 / ISO: 200 / FL: 62mm
A ‘burn’ is the Scottish Highland name for a stream, creek or beck. On my walk through the forest, I spotted a broken branch of Rowan, with its lovely Autumnal reds, and placed it on the ledge next to the miniature waterfall. A still – life of Nature. / The water was coloured with the peat that it picks up as it flows through the hillside. / All that was missing were the fairies ! I deliberately blurred the water, using f22 on my Canon EOS 40D, mounted securely on my tripod, fitted with a polarising filter to reduce the light still further ( it was quite low light under the canopy of trees). The shutter speed was 15 seconds ! I used my Tamron 28-300mm lens set at 135mm, iso 100, cloudy wb, RAW file Processed in PS CS3. Most of my processing is done in Adobe Camera Raw. I applied selective curves/levels adjustments, selective colour, and sharpened with Intellisharpen. The red trail is 2.5 hours long and it’s steep and rocky on part of it. The trail has much lush green. The state has wooden steps, paths, and bridges in some of the places to walk. The park is close to the New Jersey border and it’s a busy visited place throughout the day. The falls are on Pond Run Creek. I searched the internet for a really long exposure of Tahquamenon Falls but couldn’t find one. So I figured that my first real shot with my new 10 stop filter would be of this amazing falls.
