  • When I visit my Mom in Pembroke we love to visit Pansy Patch Park. It is surrounded by a forest and is such a beautiful and inspirational place, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors. The original image has been modified into a work of art – bringing out, I hope, what my spirit sees, not necessarily everything the lens does. • The rain and clouds finally cleared, just in time to allow me to get out to the lake while the leaves are still showing their finest colors. This is the shoreline of Rose Valley Lake in Gamble Township, north central Pennsylvania. Rose Valley is 5 miles east of the community of Trout Run. When you visit a beautiful place like Rose Valley Lake, please leave it exactly as you found it! Your food wrappers and empty containers must go back home with you for proper disposal. I had to do some cleaning up to be able to capture this pristine shot. Let’s all do the right thing, OK. Everyone benefits when we keep our “green” places green! This photo was taken on October 10th, 2009. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens set to 90mm. The shutter speed was 1/45th sec. at f/8. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated. © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist.
