This was taken on a trip to Costa Rica. The waterfall was located deep in the forest and only reached after 2 hours trek. This natural light was stunning and the water itself incredibly invigorating, if not a bit cold! Canon 400D / ISO 100 / 1/15th sec / f14 / 46mm focal length / 18-55mm canon lens / Flash / Handheld “Girl Beneath the Fall” has been featured in the following groups: Photography 101 – “3rd place in using natural light comp” / Waterfall Photography / Movement: Motion Blur / Costa Rica – Beautiful Impressions / Americas ~ Rural, Urban, Wild, Free / Canon DSLR (One Image Per Day) / The Male Photographer / JPEG Castoffs And recently recieved a certificate in the National Police Photography Competition 2009. Sixth artwork in my new Wonderland series, based off of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” ”`Well!’ thought Alice to herself, `after such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of tumbling down stairs! How brave they’ll all think me at home! Why, I wouldn’t say anything about it, even if I fell off the top of the house!’ (Which was very likely true.) – “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” Original artwork measures approx. 12.5×19” and was created with oil pastels, colored pencils, metaliic silver pens, and marker.
