My first go at fake miniatures!

After seeing Naomi Frost ’s Miniature effect photos, I did some searching & found out about Tilt-Shift photography to make a photo look like a miniature scale model. / I also found out how to simulate the effect in photoshop by following this tutorial I also created a Photoshop action simulate the tilt-shift effect

Hope is one of those things where it doesn’t really matter how it got there, it’s just good to have it around. Christmas is like that. Fake snow, plastic trees, and electric lights are a long way away from the traditional celebration involving the winter solstice, and real candles in pine trees, but all the same, it brings a smile to a child and puts a twinkle in your eye. Originally taken with slide film using ambient light. It’s always a bit like working without a safety net with slide film. Obviously with the digital age manipulation can still be made but I do try not to mess too much. Unless it’s really obvious and part of the design – I do love a bit of Photoshop tom-foolery.
