When I received Faizan’s…
When I received Faizan’s information for this profile, I was amazed at how articulate he is. He speaks four languages! Straight away, I had a thought of him as a 007 agent on a mission to ensure the world’s awareness for contemporary art, modernity and technology. Using the jewelery making skills he learned as a child in Pakistan, traditional training he receives via his role as Senior Web Designer for the Chamber of Commerce in the UK and odd freelance work as tools to achieve this. He’s currently completing a National Diploma of Graphic Design which would help him, in his words, “get into a decent art university.” And from there, move into advertising and editorial design where the sky is the limit. “…maybe start a fashion magazine of my own or get hired by one,”says Faizan. “Now that would be interesting,” I said to myself and wondered the source of his drive, then read his comment. “If I see a very good piece in a magazine or online, it makes me want to open up my software…” Faizan seems determined to develop and achieve beyond expectation. The pieces he creates are inspiration themselves and he has a knack of mixing traditional (inks, paints, lino prints) and digital elements together. “I just love mixing traditional media with digital to show the world that contemporary isn’t just digital.” So what’s next on Faizan’s agenda? Apart from moderating three groups with Red Bubble (Art Masterpiece, Photography Masterpiece, Best T-Shirt), he also owns and runs “BollySpice.com”:http://www.bollyspice.com/; an informative e-magazine about about the Indian Film industry. To supplement his freelance graphic and web design work he is currently working on his own website, which he hopes to launch soon. Phew! With all this activity and achievement it’s hard to imagine Faizan is only nineteen. But, he’s a man on a mission and there is no stopping this designer/artist genius. It’s an honour to have him part of Red Bubble. - KSeriphyn

I rarely venture into the Community Forums these days – there’s more life in the catatonic ward at Graylands. But I did drop by there this morning and learnt that even here, in the ETERNAL FESTIVAL OF LOVE PEACE AND BROTHER/SISTERHOOD THAT IS REDBUBBLE, some of us nurse a tyrant in our bosom. As my dear departed grandmother would have said: Fuck that for a joke. But I digress. I’m posting this principally to say that you to Faizan Quereshi for his hands-off management style with Masterpiece Art and Masterpiece Clothing. Every few months I remember to drop my entries and put up new ones, and that has been the sum total of my involvement. Faiz complaineth not, nor does he Bmail without reason. In fact, I don’t think I’ve had a group Bmail from him yet. Faizan – THANKS!
