  • Intercessory Prayer
    by Ruth Palmer

    US$4.13–US$110.20

Taken from my blog: I was going through some paintings in my studio and stumbled upon this one that I had done some time ago. I had initially put it aside calling it a “WIP” and had fully intended to go back and do more work on it but never did. I’d shown it as a WIP to some arteeeest friends who had liked it very much “as is” and then just rolled it up and forgot about it. It’s huge…not exactly sure off hand how large but it’s on unstretched canvas….I’d say about 4ft X 5ft. What this piece represents is (and I remember painting it during one of those dry spiritual periods when I was trying desperately to pray but just couldn’t find the words) our prayers, which are sometimes nothing more than moans and groans….but are interpreted for us by the Holy Spirit giving us a direct and uninterrupted line to our Father. This happens often during our times of spiritual emptiness when we are reaching out to God and the words just don’t come. For those of you who are Christians, you will know this scripture from the Bible: Romans 8:26 (New International Version) “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Anyway, when I pulled the painting out this morning, I decided that just as Jesus said on the cross, “it is finished”.....and would like to share it with you all. Never stop talking to God, He always hears….even the moans and groans! Be Blessed. /

  • Natural Splendors I
    by Mundy Hackett

    US$25.51–US$34.01

This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

  • Perfect Peace
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

When we put our eyes upon Christ, we find fear being washed away. We find He does not always keep us from the storm, but carries us safely through it. (Isa 26:3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.) He is doing a mighty work in us that we do not fully understand. We find that that He gives us a peace that goes beyond understanding. (Php 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.) 1Jo 1:1:¶ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; / 1Jo 1:2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) / 1Jo 1:3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. / 1Jo 1:4: And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. / 1Jo 1:5: ¶ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. When we take our eyes off our problems and give our hearts to Christ, we give Him our problems and put Him in charge of solving them for us, He has the power to give us peace, to deal with our problems and make our lives complete. (Lu 1:78: Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, / Lu 1:79: To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.) / ___ This work was created using a photograph of my granddaughter Kortney and a photograph of a statue of Christ I took seveal years ago at the Huntington Library in California. I layered the images using PS_CS3. Then I enhanced the image using Paintshop Pro. Next, I further edited and enhanced the work with PS_CS3 and Micrographx to produce the finished product. • Prayer
    by Eyal Nahmias

    US$4.13–US$110.20

An orthodox Jew is praying at the western wall in Jerusalem. The wall also known as the wailing wall or the “Kotel” is the most sacred and holy place for jews. This is the last remaining wall from the old temple that was destroyed over 2000 years ago. This person is using the old testament bible. The black outfit is typical to the orthodox jews.

  • River's Snow Portrait
    by TerriRiver

    US$4.99–US$133.00

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

    Acrylic on masonite.

  • Ice bridge
    by TerriRiver

    US$27.08–US$144.40

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. This is why I’d like to do my part to keep nature this way! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

  • God's Abiding Grace
    by amarica

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Growing up in poverty, / we struggled thru each day. / picking cotton, picking peaches, / picking prunes to pay our way. Feeling sorry for myself one day, / my mother overheard me complain. / “Stop,” she said, “and think / how lucky you are to live another day.” “Give thanks to God you’re healthy, / and all your limbs remain / unbroken and you’re not only beautiful / but you have a brain.” Keeping my muttering to myself, / I thought, “That’s easy for you to say. / but what good is being healthy? / and picking cotton doesn’t take a brain.” I’d heard about starving children in China / every time we ate. / But beans and potatoes were boring / when tha’ts the only thing on your plate. Then, one night when work was over / and it was very, very late, / I heard a muffled sobbing / and I turned to look that way. Thru the moonlight in the window / I saw my mother and heard her say, / “Thank you for my children / and carrying me thru this day.” I lay there quietly watching / and listening to her pray. / “Please don’t think I’m complaining, / this prayer is for my children,” she said. “They haven’t had the chance to see / your loving special grace / because they’re too young to look for / and recognize your face.” “So, I’m asking you to bless them / and help them rise above this place. / Yes, Lord they are healthy / and, for that, I give you thanks.” “But they mean more than life to me, / so won’t you help them and guide their steps away. / Though I’d love to keep them by my side, / I’ll give that up if they can just escape.” Her prayer went on for awhile / and tears ran down my face / as I listened to her pour her heart out / for God’s abiding grace. amari Image created with Photoshop CS3, Apophysis Fractal art, and Micrografx utilizing photo images and fractal art layers. / ___ Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. • The menorah, a seven-branched candelabrum used in the Temple, is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish faith. It has been said that the menorah is a symbol of the nation of Israel and its mission to be “a light unto the nations.” The sages emphasize that light is not a violent force; Israel is to accomplish its mission by setting an example, not by might, nor by power, but by spirit. It was the menorah that served as the primary Jewish symbol from antiquity until the post-Renaissance period, not the “Jewish star”. Happy Hanukkah Card /

  • I can’t imagine not knowing, never having learned, or going through life without the Lord’s Prayer. It’s how Jesus taught us to pray….and I wonder just how many children in today’s society don’t know it. People are so confused these days with the distortion of religion and faith…which are two completely different thing. Children have a natural ability to relate honestly and directly with their Creator and as Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Children’s hearts are so pure and untainted. That’s what God wants from us. The great Picasso said it as it relates to art, so it relates to just about everything in life: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up” – Pablo Picasso

  • Hidden in the Woods
    by TerriRiver

    US$4.99–US$133.00

As those who know my work are all aware: I don’t usually “play with” Photoshop effects (of course except frames as I love framing). This time I can’t resist the concept so I used “vivid light” as an effect and add an extra gradient layer on top of the photo. I can only hope it worked.
