There was a time when our dreams felt so real / Just out of reach but not too far to feel / Together we’d finally make them come true / ‘Cause anythings possible when I was with you / But they kept on saying we’d never amount to anything…. All of the dreams we built up from the ground / They never believed them they just tore them down / We will rebuild them from the start, we will rebuild them from the heart ‘Cause once all we wanted seemed so far away / But with every step it was closer each day / The more that we tried it was within our grasp / The more that they told us that it wouldn’t last / And everyone said we were crazy for giving up everything…. All of the dreams we built up from the ground / They never believed them they just tore them down / We will rebuild them from the start, we will rebuild them from the heart From the heart / From the heart / From the heart All of the dreams we built up from the ground / They never believed them they just tore them down / We will rebuild them from the start, we will rebuild them from the heart All of the dreams we built up from the ground / They never believed them they just tore them down / We will rebuild them from the start, we will rebuild them from the heart From the heart / From the heart From The Heart – Hoobastank

“Desabandhascittasya Dharana The mind has reached the ability to be directed (dharana) when the direction towards a chosen object is possible in spite of many other potential objects within the reach of the individual.” Yoga Sutra 3.1 / Translated by T.K. V. Desikachar

This fractal amazed me as it took on the shape of a sword…I added another fractal to create the golden haze around it and couldn’t help but connect it to the scripture below :-) ‘Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. / And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God’ / Ephesians 5:16,17
This tree root is on the northern periphery of our property. We’ve lived here for over 35 years, and it’s been here all that time, in exactly the same state you see it here. I marvel at its perfect heart shape and think it’s a little note from God to remind me of his undying love. I borrowed the title from the refrain of a hymn written by Father John Foley, S.J. / Here are the lyrics of that hymn: Dwelling Place / by John Foley, SJ I fall on my knees to the Father of Jesus / The Lord who has shown us, the glory of God. May He in His love give us strength for our living / The strength of His Spirit, the glory of God. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love. May grace and peace be yours in God our Father / And in His son. May Christ find a dwelling place of faith in our hearts / May our lives be rooted in love, rooted in love.
HOPE / Hope still walks beside me on the road / Her gentle company eases the miles / And lightens the load a little. / On days of unwashed clothes and unkempt hair / She sometimes seems a little unprepared, / Yet mismatched shoes can still skip / And callused hands can still warm to the touch / Of love’s tender potential. / Some days her mind seems elsewhere / But when our eyes meet, / She is quick to smile, / And through her windows / The light burns brightly / For anyone who cares to share. / Hope is never pretty / But always beautiful, / She is a silhouette in an open doorway, / A soft touch as sleep dissolves / A memory that lingers in the folds of your heart. / She is the exhale of a sigh, / The softening of shoulders / To imagined caress, / The trickle of water at the source / Of a mighty river. / Hope never looks in the mirror, / Indeed, she looks beyond, / For she holds her own reflection / In a place I have yet to find. / Sometimes weary, / She falls behind, / Engulfed in the shadows of the past; / Sits down to rest in the settling dust. / A time-worn traveller, she fades from my view / As I continue on unaware. / Somewhere in the chill / I miss her hand in mine / And sit down by the roadside to wait. / In the stillness, / The road continues to pass me by / Regardless, / And if I close my eyes I can be / Wherever I wish to go and whomever / I choose to be, / Yet somehow the one I open my eyes to / Is me. / In these fragile precious moments / When quiet enters me and wraps my soul / In the solace of silence / And the road has lost its urgency, / I look up to find her standing there. / We hug / Old friends, / The holding hands, continue on our way. / Some days Hope takes her own path, / But most days, she still walks beside me. / She lives in me / And I live in Hope…

This is another abstract of some crystals with glass…..hope you enjoy…. Division of Light The One Light cannot be divided, but extensions of the One Light can appear to divide it. The spots of sunlight upon the cathedral floor are many, but they are all / extensions of the one light of their source in the sun. Out of ashes, new beginnings, / Out of fire comes new power, / Out of darkness, new day dawning, / Phoenix, help me in this trying hour. DJ Conway The Phoenix is the most famous of all rebirth symbols, a legendary bird that endlessly renews itself in fire. / Initially a symbol of the cyclic disappearance and reappearance of the Sun, the Phoenix soon became an emblem of human resurrection – and eventually of the indomitable human spirit in overcoming trials. My deepest hopes, since the onsets of Black Saturday and the devastation and sorrow felt across the lands of Australia, as well as here on redbubble with the outpourings of love, compassion and strength in thoughts and prayers is that it reaches and touches all who have lost someone, something or some part of their heart to this great fire – find the inner strength and wisdom, and most certainly feel the generosity and outpouring from so many human beings around the globe. / The empathy and compassion felt around the world is ironically, a gathering of souls in Unity – it saddens me that it takes a tragedy of this proportion to focus, it also fills me with joy that it is still possible… May we continue in the light of love and unify for the benefit of all humankind – as Love can move mountains All sales of this piece will be donated to Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009 / This was an intention drawing while focusing on the victims of the Victorian Bushfires, photographed, colored in photoshop and Redfield plug-ins editing.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” ~Ephesians 6:12 A prayer warrior does not need an arrow because the bow is lit with the fire of God’s Word and Spirit which penetrates the hearts of those who are prayed for so they may be refined, healed, and delivered! ORIGINAL FOR SALE $450 plus P&H Out of the ashes… Symbolic of so many things, but personally? I painted this mandala during a time in my life when my whole world was in the process of being torn apart. Fires, earthquakes, neighbours from hell, troubled teenagers, financial crises, health concerns – my external reality was in chaos. And internally? I had been shaken to the core by the knowledge that age had not imparted much wisdom as far as love was concerned. I was still naive, gullible, vulnerable and very much open to belief and trust. And so, almost three years after my late partner killed himself, I opened my heart to this naive trust and allowed myself to be hurt again. And thus the phoenixes arise in my life. This ability I have to love, to believe, to trust, to be nonjudgmental and accepting – that is a gift few people have. And so I choose to give it air, let it breathe, let it burn like a fire. And I will arise out of the ashes of my life to start anew. Painted to the song: The Blessing (My good friend Sammy Horner and the Electrics – thank you!) Marg Thomson / 2009
