Inspiring scripture seemed to go with this photo to me.
when life is hardest, when we are most lost, / the wellspring inside has the most chance of showing us how big our God is!
...there’s a light of hope.
His light warms every corner of the heart
Do not be afraid. Do not put it under a bushel barrel basket. Let it shine!
As I play and interact with my little next-door neighbor, Kiley, I am reminded of this great Jars of Clay song, and I have to ask myself…am I living out my faith like a child? Dear God, surround me as I speak, / the bridges that I walk across are weak / Frustrations fill the void that I can’t solely bear. Dear God, don’t let me fall apart / you’ve held me close to you / I have turned away and searched / for answers I can’t understand. Chorus: / They say that I can move the mountains / And send them falling to the sea / They say that I can walk on water / If I would follow and believe with Faith Like a Child Sometimes, when I feel miles away / and my eyes can’t see your face / I wonder if I’ve grown to lose the / recklessness I walked in light of you Chorus They say that I can move the mountains / And send them crashing to the sea / They say that I can walk on water / If I would follow and believe / with Faith Like a Child They say that love can heal the broken / They say that hope can make you see / They say that faith can find a Savior / If you would follow and believe / With Faith Like a Child
This I created all in photoshop from scratch, except for the the Arabic calligraphy with says “Allah” (God). zoom in to see all the detail on the petals. I named this “enlightenment through a faithful heart”. The main focus of this picture is the flower, which symbolizes the heart. The words on it are good qualities that we all can have in our lives. The more we implement these concepts, the more it becomes engraved in our hearts. So when we receive enlightenment or any good ideas, we are able to use them for good, thus creating a sense of spirituality and tranquility within us. Insha’Allah (God-willing) :).

In some ways, we are no bigger and no stronger than little dragonflies, yet we need not fear as we have a gracious God to watch over us. I’ve experienced two hurricanes in the last two weeks and though we have suffered financial losses and extensive damage to property, faith remains firm and strong. I call that a miracle. Storms can uproot trees, blow off rooftops, and even take lives, but they can’t touch a strong inner core of faith that trusts in a Savior who will never fail us in life or in death. So with the Psalmist we can pray with confidence: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)

Long ago, the mice had a general council to consider what measures they could take to outwit their common enemy, the Cat. Some said this, and some said that; but at last a young mouse got up and said he had a proposal to make, which he thought would meet the case. “You will all agree,” said he, “that our chief danger consists in the sly and treacherous manner in which the enemy approaches us. Now, if we could receive some signal of her approach, we could easily escape from her. I venture, therefore, to propose that a small bell be procured, and attached by a ribbon round the neck of the Cat. By this means we should always know when she was about, and could easily retire while she was in the neighbourhood.” This proposal met with general applause, until an old mouse got up and said: “That is all very well, but who is to bell the Cat?” The mice looked at one another and nobody spoke. Then the old mouse said: It is easy to propose impossible remedies
Once upon a time a Wolf was lapping at a spring on a hillside, when, looking up, what should he see but a Lamb just beginning to drink a little lower down. “There’s my supper,” thought he, “if only I can find some excuse to seize it.” Then he called out to the Lamb, “How dare you muddle the water from which I am drinking?” “Nay, master, nay,” said Lambikin; “if the water be muddy up there, I cannot be the cause of it, for it runs down from you to me.” “Well, then,” said the Wolf, “why did you call me bad names this time last year?” “That cannot be,” said the Lamb; “I am only six months old.” “I don’t care,” snarled the Wolf; “if it was not you it was your father;” and with that he rushed upon the poor little Lamb and ate her all up. But before she died she gasped out: “Any excuse will serve a tyrant.”

Now you must know that a Town Mouse once upon a time went on a visit to his cousin in the country. He was rough and ready, this cousin, but he loved his town friend and made him heartily welcome. Beans and bacon, cheese and bread, were all he had to offer, but he offered them freely. The Town Mouse rather turned / up his long nose at this country fare, and said: “I cannot understand, Cousin, how you can put up with such poor food as this, but of course you cannot expect anything better in the country; come you with me and I will show you how to live. When / you have been in town a week you will wonder how you could ever have stood a country life.” No sooner said than done: the two mice set off for the town and arrived at the Town Mouse’s residence late at night. “You will want some refreshment after our long journey,” said the polite Town Mouse, and took his friend into the grand dining-room. There they found the remains of a fine feast, and soon the two mice were eating up jellies and cakes and all that was nice. Suddenly they heard growling and barking. “What is that?” said the Country Mouse. “It is only the dogs of the house,” answered the other. “Only!” said the Country Mouse. / “I do not like that music at my dinner.” Just at that moment the door flew open, in came two huge mastiffs, and the two mice had to scamper down and run off. “Good-bye, Cousin,” said the Country Mouse, “What! going so soon?” said the other. “Yes,” he replied; Better beans and bacon in peace than cakes and ale in fear

Everywhere across the land / You see God’s face and touch His hand / Each time you look up in the sky / Or watch the fluffy clouds drift by, / Or feel the sunshine, warm and bright, / Or watch the dark night turn to light, / Or hear a bluebird brightly sing, / Or see the winter turn to spring, / Or stop to pick a daffodil, / Or gather violets on some hill, / Or touch a leaf or see a tree, / It’s all God whispering, “This is Me….. / And I am faith and I am light / And in Me there shall be no night.” / Written By ~ Helen Steiner Rice /

“The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter.” ~Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV) This is my 11 yr old niece. She was at our house for a visit and we went to our local Museum. The kids loved it, and we shot some pics as well. :) She just started bursting out with laughter because we were talking about the sunflower has sticky stuff coming out where I cut it. This is a very realistic view of a lovely poolside tropical flower! I really like the natural look which exists within this particular image. Something about the purity of this image is soothing to my soul! It seems so sweet & innocent! So pure & delightful! Enjoy! Smiles Leilani Perdido Key, Florida USA
