  • My first encaustic painting that I incorporated images of flowers that I waxed onto the surface and then waxed real flowers on top. The wax was yellow in color and the real flowers are extending 3D away from the surface. I then wrapped the whole piece in waxed fabric which you can’t see. Another fun piece which looks like the flowers are fading into the wax hence the song. Jan Yates of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada was my teacher for the day and a wonderful artist. Please check out her art. Roxette – Fading Like A Flower

  • A little tattered round the edges, but still strong at heart, and beautiful. • After long journey through heaps of sand, you suddenly see the water… Desert is sly, you never know if water is real… you may try to reach it for ages and it will slowly fade away… Nikon D80, Nikkor 12-24 Feature in: / Landscape Photography / JPG Cast-Offs / Colour and Light / Dimensions

  • Though many years have passed, since I held you last- / you’re still in my heart and on my mind. / and when I think of you, as I often do- / then I wonder do you ever think of me. Yes, I wonder do you ever think of me- / or am I just forgotten history. I go to sleep at night, and dream about you- / and of our faded love of long ago. / and when I wake up dear, and know that you’re not here- / then I wonder do you ever dream of me. Yes, I wonder do you ever dream of me- / or am I not even a subconscious memory. The years have come and gone, memories linger on- / that time can not erase or time replace. / and when I think of you, as I often do- / then I wonder do you ever think of me. Yes, I wonder do you ever think of me- / or am I just a faded memory. Inspired by conversations with a dear friend…
