I would firstly like to thank Paul for my new portrait and taking the time to visit my home to do so, he will tell you i don’t like having my photo taken. Thank you for your time, generosity and patience….and for popping into say Hi with the family while you were exhibiting at ART Melbourne 08. Jo what can I say….I will start with Thank you….for your support, advice, help and input on Thursday night – the opening night of Art Melb I am so glad you were there… / ...and PS we have a project planned! ;) Kaitlin So nice to meet after our many communications, thanks for all your advice given to my many questions over the last couple of weeks and for stopping in to chat at the show, it was great to meet you. Graham who was at the show with his family; joined the art workshop and I got to meet his three lovely children and catch up with Graham which was a treat. Naomi who i have collaborated with and again had much communication with but never met till the weekend. It was great to meet you and have a chat, although it was constantly interrupted. Peter who not only came into the show but photographed my Other profile a very generous and talented man. I am really looking forward to working on our many planned projects….! And thanks to my friends and family, to those who brought my work and books, to the people I get to spend four days with every so often during the year while we are at the show and thanks to the kids for coming to play with me. :))))

My facination with Mr. Jack
by jastofferSo I have decided to finally start writing about something I told myself I wouldn’t, due to the fact that almost every piece of fiction, ...
So I have decided to finally start writing about something I told myself I wouldn’t, due to the fact that almost every piece of fiction, or movie made has butchered (pardon the corny joke) it, of course its the story of Jack the Ripper. / I don’t know why I became so interested in the Ripper case, I think most of it is because of the fact that “Jack” was never found, never brought to justice, where did he go? Why did he stop? Who? What? How? The questions are probably endless. Mr. Ripper is one of the reasons why I have always wanted to go to England, and on that subject, doesn’t England seem like one of the darkest places ever? the most Gothic? Think about it: / ~ The Tower of London / ~ Jack the Ripper / ~ Sweeney Todd / ~ Coleridge / ~ Walpole / I could go on, but I digress / Back to Jack the Ripper, why Jack? why not Burt? or Larry? Can you imagine? Larry the Ripper? (the serial killing Joe the Plumber lol) / I was always scared to write some Ripper-fic because of a fear of killing (pun again, sorry!) the myth, I hate it when writers ruin a perfectly true-ish, and perfectly scary story (I’m looking at YOU Emily Rose). But fear be damned, I’m going to take the plunge. Stay tuned for some sort of short Ripper-fic coming to a Redbubble near you! (No promises it will be good, but I can guarantee that it will shock you) ~ Fearfully yours! / JaS
