Two seasoned fishermen fishing while sitting on a pier with fishing equipment on a late summer day.
River enjoys the snow so much that she pulls me on a harness on the cross-country ski trails in the provincial park. Of course she never misses a photo opportunity and loves to pose for the camera! :)
Many expressed concern or even restrained/politely withheld “ridicule” to my going out in this blowing snow. They were all right, the sky was mostly gloom and doom and one could not see much but for a split second, just a blink of the eye, the sun peeped through in all this mess – is it worth it? Well, you be the judge! :)
Its was weird, Not much happens in Newman and as soon as the dust storm appeared, half the town drove up the hill to check it out : ) Just shows there are other people as board as me living here. / Probly not so smart hanging out on a hill made of iorn ore, in the middle of a lightning storm, just shows some people are a stupid as me too : ) D100, 10-20 3.5 ISO 200 / Capture NX

”If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” / John 15:7 God’s Spirit can guide and teach us through his word in such surprising ways. When God sends a message to us through scripture it is never by accident. In 55:11, God says that wherever He sends His word it never returns empty, but always achieves the special purpose for which it was sent. Prayerfully consider the verse that inspired this painting and know that the Mighty God of all the heavens has reached out to touch you this moment. VerseVisions is a contemporary art ministry whose purpose is to share the love and message of God to all people through art and scriptural words of encouragement. Original photograph taken on my sister’s farm and enchanced with several different software programs. / “Windmills of Your Mind” Round, like a circle in a spiral / Like a wheel within a wheel. / Never ending or beginning, / On an ever spinning wheel / Like a snowball down a mountain / Or a carnaval balloon / Like a carousel that’s turning / Running rings around the moon Like a clock whose hands are sweeping / Past the minutes on it’s face / And the world is like an apple / Whirling silently in space / Like the circles that you find / In the windmills of your mind Like a tunnel that you follow / To a tunnel of it’s own / Down a hollow to a cavern / Where the sun has never shone / Like a door that keeps revolving / In a half forgotten dream / Or the ripples from a pebble / Someone tosses in a stream. Like a clock whose hands are sweeping / Past the minutes on it’s face / And the world is like an apple / Whirling silently in space / Like the circles that you find / In the windmills of your mind Keys that jingle in your pocket / Words that jangle your head / Why did summer go so quickly / Was it something that I said / Lovers walking along the shore, / Leave their footprints in the sand / Was the sound of distant drumming / Just the fingers of your hand Pictures hanging in a hallway / And a fragment of this song / Half remembered names and faces / But to whom do they belong / When you knew that it was over / Were you suddenly aware / That the autumn leaves were turning / To the color of her hair Like a circle in a spiral / Like a wheel within a wheel / Never ending or beginning, / On an ever spinning wheel / As the images unwind / Like the circle that you find / In the windmills of your mind Pictures hanging in a hallway / And the fragment of this song / Half remembered names and faces / But to whom do they belong / When you knew that it was over / Were you suddenly aware / That the autumn leaves were turning / To the color of her hair Like a circle in a spiral / Like a wheel within a wheel / Never ending or beginning, / On an ever spinning wheel / As the images unwind / Like the circles that you find / In the windmills of your mind. “The Windmills of Your Mind” (Les moulins de mon cœur) is a song with music by Michel Legrand, as well as Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman, and lyrics by the Bergmans, from the 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. Noel Harrison performed the song for the film score. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1969. (Harrison’s father, the British actor Rex Harrison, had performed the previous year’s Oscar-winning “Talk to the Animals”).
