The complete and real title is : “Poupée – InnerSelf”. I asked to myself : Stars… They bright the sky, our eyes, our mind & soul. They are inside of us. We always look for them, for these glimpses of lights and happiness. / Do we really know ourselves? / Do we realize that we have all of this inside of us? / What are we in fact? / As we don’t really look in the correct place, we don’t really know ourselves i decided to ‘almost’ delete the face. Colored pencil drawing, just playing around with faces, wanted to make her lizard like. There’s is no other meaning behind this drawing and I wont be doing this again ….. ouch….my wrist…. / .
Acrylic on stretched canvas with powder pigments dry brushed on,The iridescent pigments give it a patina that doesn’t show up as well in a photograph. / . . . / . /
A photograph using pieces of nature for our props, the crown was made of twigs, feathers, moss and other things found in nature, everyone in our house has had their photo taken wearing this crown….including the dogs. We had to take a few warm up sessions for this shot…...burr It’s cold :)
This is four photos that I chose to layer to get a similar effect as “nature under water” and “the nature of things” although I used live nature and threw it on printed images for the others. The amazing gifts of the earth that we live with and we survive because of…......we are all connected. A song called Dancing / by Elisa Toffoli

The joy of digital means you don’t have to run out to buy a film, thus risking losing the shot altogether. I looked out of my window last week to find this old fella resting in the sky, “click” he now exists forever, and not just for that fleeting moment. Not sure about human AND nature, more like human IN nature. Oh, ..and i left the rooftops in the corner just to give some perspective. i love the contented smile, the fact that you can see the curl on the end of his moustache, and his round nose complete with nostrils, a defined brow and even his upper and lower eyelids, so unreal but so real. lucky me.

pencil on paper (taken from a pad of “drawing” paper from the early 80’s) drawing Another oldie! / Ah, those big eyes I was obsessed with BACK THEN. / Well, friends tease me and say it will be considered one of my “periods”. What you can’t see is that there is a whole top layer of trees that were drawn on the black background and when you look at this from other angles, they are visible – just quietly – like a subtle varnish. This is all about different phases of life borrowing the term of growing to fullness, or “waxing” of the moon. / My name actually means: Of the moon – or lunatic – you pick which fits. hahha! “Spellbound” is part of the Winter and Portrait Collection…the painting captures the feeling of submitting ones own will to the tyrannical demands of the storm….my portrayal is one of a goddess of winter…with the red berries in her hair, she embodies its stillness, its sense of silence, darkness, and bitter cold..the falling snow is a “poem of the air,” wrote Longfellow, where the “troubled sky reveals the grief it feels.” / Winter is a time to concentrate on renewing and affirming human relationships. Watercolour on Arches Not Paper… VIEW THE ENTIRE WINTER COLLECTION HERE The night is darkening round me, / The wild winds coldly blow; / But a tyrant spell has bound me / And I cannot, cannot go. The giant trees are bending / Their bare boughs weighed with snow. / And the storm is fast descending, / And yet I cannot go. Clouds beyond clouds above me, / Wastes beyond wastes below; / But nothing dear can move me; / I will not, cannot go...E. Bronte / Forever Autumn VIEW THE ENTIRE PORTRAIT COLLECTION HERE
