A shot where we had to copy the style of another piece of work from a photographer. I chose a shot by Cay Lang which has nude bodies pressed up against glass. Our shot had to include the faces of the subjects… this is what i ended up with

I definitely came out wanting to get a photo of smoke, but this just blew past my expectations… Part of a small smoke art series I’m attempting to complete =) .

I was showing this capture of some interesting rocks and rushing water to my wife and oldest daugther and they both immediately shouted out.. “hey.. the rock looks like the face and body of a gorilla!” and sure enough they are right.. How cool is that? So the title of this capture seems appropriate.. “Gorilla In The Mist”

Dream fuse
by retepkTwo photographs and layered Photoshop-generated textures and shapes. The two photos were mirrored and merged in Lighten mode. Some parts of the second image were then deleted. A copy of the second image was then motion blurred. The those texture and shape layers were then positioned and layered. Voila! Criticism welcome. / Title derived from the Tangerine Dream piece “Daliesque Sleep Fuse”.
