I guess everyone wears a mask to a certain degree. / medium pastel, charcoal and watercolor on paper
A portion of a fractal design. In the high-res version the detail around what would be the face and especially the ‘ears’ of the alien head is made up of hundreds of the little spines that you see. And, of course, since it is fractal, layers of spines like these go on to an infinite degree.

White tiger on the lookout —- / White tigers are not a seperate type of tiger and they do not occur in the wild (at least, not normally). The white fur coat is an effect of a rare gen mutation where tigers with two genes for white fur will have this unusual colour. Because of the extreme rarity of the white tiger allele in the wild, the breeding pool was limited to the small number of white tigers in captivity. Apparently the last white tiger ever seen in the wild was shot in 1958. Inbreeding between these tigers often leads to defects such as deformaties and mental retardation. Due to the high market value for white tigers, unscrupulous breeders will still inbreed white tigers to ensure the offspring also exhibit the recessive gene. Some animal rights activists have called for a halt to the breeding of white tigers altogether. If a zoo claims that they are breeding white tigers for an international reeding program for endangered species (and many do claim this) they are liars. despite being heavily inbred, white tigers are also a mix of all types of tigers and not a real spiecies themselves.
There are so many senseless things in the world…
Medium: Acrylic Paint on Board / Size: 12” x 16” / Description: One of my paintings from my Sick, Sad Little World Series. Completed in 2008. I wanted to portray a human with hypocritical and two faced characteristics. I am fully aware that in this world, we all can be a little two faced sometimes and everyone is has both introvert and extrovert qualities. But there are some people who just revel in being two faced, who derive pleasure from being ‘bitchy’ which fare exceeds the boarder line of nastiness. I don’t like it when I see it first hand… Original For Sale Contact me at lloydharvey@shrunkenheaddesign.co.uk / www.shrunkenheaddesign.co.uk
