The Beatles have a record six diamond-selling albums (10 million copies): Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles, Abbey Road, The Beatles: 1962-1966, The Beatles: 1967-1970, and The Beatles 1 and have had more number one albums than any other group (19 in the U.S. and 15 in the United Kingdom). The Beatles spent the highest number of weeks at number one in the albums chart (174 in the UK and 132 in the U.S.). They were the youngest group to top the UK album charts with their debut album; however, McFly has since topped this record with their debut album in 2004.

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were four ordinary lads from the working class city of Liverpool. Their extraordinary talents and collective musical genius made them the biggest selling recording artists of all time and they still sell millions of records to new audiences even today. They have inspired todays modern group with their classic albums and carefully crafted songs and their legacy will live on into the 21st century.

This was for a study of fabric and how it relates to figure drawings, the transitions from one plane to the next. My professor basically tied up an Apollo statue. Could have some symbolism if wanted. An art work’s interpretation doesn’t have to stay true with the artist’s. This of course is in charcoal.

The Hard Day’s Night Hotel in Liverpool is the first Beatles themed hotel in the world and opened its doors on 1st February 2008. / / The ‘Grade II’ listed building, designed by Thomas C Clarke, dates back to 1884, and was originally known as, Central Buildings. During the Second World War, it was designated the back up location for allied command headquarters in the city during the Battle of the Atlantic. / / The extensive refurbishment added two stories and restored many originasl features. Some Hobbits have become less traditional, shunning the legendary and going more for the pre-fab abode. It was bound to happen, with the bottom dropping out of the housing market…. But this is a rare find… a pre-fab that has been tended to with all the loving care of a back-home underhill hovel. And it’s extra-roomy, as Hobbit Huts go. Number eighteen in the Hobbit Hut series. Seeing Terri’s posting about selling her Beatles’ Collection has inspired me to share this. It is a painting a friend and I did on the wall of my sister’s garage years ago….I took this picture of it on my recent visit to Texas. Gina is such a loyal and avid Beatles Fan….I guess that is obvious since she has them on her garage wall! :-) This is for you, Sistahlou!
