A F16 Falcon getting a little too close to a Sukhoi Su-30 / Digital artwork
This idea was for an airshow poster (Dutch Airshow).
Taken at the 2007 Airpower over Hampton Roads airshow at Langley Air Force base. This was my first time seeing the Thunderbirds, they put on a pretty good show.

With this image I won second prize in a screenshot contest on this website Barnstorming / The best 20 pictures would be printed and exhibited in The San Diego Air & Space Museum / The red arrow on the little picture below points to my image hanging in the museum. / The screenshot was taken with the use of MS Flight Simulator 2004.
At broomfield’s 4th of July fireworks show, these four fighter jets flew around where the show was going to be. Hardly anyone noticed them as they weren’t blazing and therefore weren’t setting off car alarms. But I saw them. I think they were probably flying down to Invesco Field at Mile High for the show. I really like the contrast of their shadows against the kind of grey backround. CC is welcome, but keep in mind, my lens is only that of 28-200mm so I can’t get super close for details. Other than that, enjoy.

Captain Russ T. Piggott does a high speed fly by during todays practice flight at HAFB Utah. Captain Piggott is the Commander and Demonstration Pilot for the Viper West F-16 Demonstration Team at Hill AFB, Utah.
I love jet noise
For this shot of a fast jet fighter pilot I chose a high contrast, split tone treatment to give a more apocalyptic feel. The limited DoF on the hangar wall background was a fantastic piece of good fortune! I cannot quite decide whether it reminds me more of Mark Shreeve’s ‘Crash Head’ album or H.R.Giger’s ‘Passagen’ series, but I’d love somebody to pick it up for a book cover…

Pencil on 14×17 strathmore medium weight paper finished with lacquer F-16’s from the 421st FS fly out of Hill Air Force Base which is about 15 minutes from my house. The 421st is currently serving in Afghanistan. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 1990, the 421st TFS found themselves facing armed opponents for the first time since Vietnam as it deployed to Southwest Asia in Support of Operation Desert Shield. The squadron once again returned to its proud combat heritage as a nighttime fighter squadron. Once open hostilities began in Operation Desert Storm, it became the first F-16 unit to fly the LANTIRN system in combat. Pilots dropped more than 2,000 tons of conventional munitions on strategic and tactical sites in Iraq and Kuwait during more than 1,300 combat sorties—1,200 of them at night, without combat losses or battle damage to aircraft. /
