I was passing this building in liverpool and the big sign across the window took my attention. id not noticed it before then and its not there now.

unusual modern quirky designed wind turbine.this can be found on a hill near the village of longdown in devon,built as a farmers project,it has worked but it was found to be unsafe due to vibration.
This sign is immediately adjacent to the Tate Modern Art Gallery. Who says beaurocracy doesn’t have a sense of humour.

There are many Guggenheim Museums throughout the world, but the first one — and the most famous — was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and constructed in Manhattan. During construction, people living in the area attempted to stop the museum from being built, saying it would be an “eyesore” to their neighborhood. Their “eyesore” is considered one of 20th century’s most important architectural landmarks. Photographed in 1981.

Outside the Tate in London.
Another picture of Northwestern Steel and wire, or rather whats left of it. It sat along the Rock river and employed many of the Sterling/Rock Falls residents in its hay day. NWSW caught fire a few years back and has never been demolished, and is one of the many eyesores of this lovely town…
Another picture of Northwestern Steel and Wire mill, that burned down a few years back. I remember hearing a year or two ago that the city of sterling wanted to demolish these parts of the mill, to renovate that area of the Rock river, and put a park and a boat launch there. Though i guess with the economy in shambles, the project must have fell through
