We wanted to send man to the moon. / We did. We wanted to supply man with a / way to communicate through fiber optics. / We did that too. But what happens when the / human counterpart is so reliant on technology, / that it forgets to…be human? Numbers, dates, / appointments all stored in a portable database. / Families neglect to interact with each other because / they all have a human counterpart that they can connect / with. Patience is a thing of the past because anything / they want is at their fingertips. Ideas are unoriginal / because they have all been thought of before; typed, dated, / and logged. Welcome to the Butterfly Effect. / Welcome to our world. / / / Hand painted (mouse painted..heh.) digital oil / (taken from my own eye) / Corel Paint Shop Pro/Corel Painter X/Apophysis / This is my first hand painted digital oil. / Challenge Cafe Entry / / / Special thanks to Helene Kippert Paul Tupman and Stacylee for your influences. ;) / / / Runner up in the Challenge Cafe Contest / Thanks to all who voted on it! / / / / sold:1 mounted print + 1 laminated print / (both to RB members/artists) / /
I wasn’t bored…......... :) because I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing…....paying bills and doing housework, he he he, believe me , I made this drag out as long as I possibly could and that was easy because there is no way to time a stinking, huge droplet to fall where you want it to. When the fun was over…....sadly I went back to the reality of the mundane and did what I was supposed to do but with a much happier attitude :) that’s my story and I’m sticking to it :) Photograph of a droplet/eyeball with a background of a painted cement block, / Selective coloring and shadow added.
When Paul Vanzella told me he was shooting with Sarah, I bought, begged and stole my way into that shoot. And who could blame me! I was there as a second model and helping out with styling but I couldn’t resist firing off a couple of snaps while Paul and Sarah were doing their thing. “There is nothing more astoundingly beautiful than the female form. If we look at the thought of God as an artist. . . and that the artist keeps creating until he finally creates that certain something that he feels is the end all, be all of his creative process, and then stops. . . then we have part of the answer to that question here. God made all of these things – the land, the oceans, the trees, the animals, man. . . then woman. The last thing he made was the woman. Everything that was created contains parts of the previous creation. All leading up to one inescapable conclusion. All parts lead, somehow, to a final. . . and then you stop when you feel you have reached the optimum. The last creation was woman. Something that contained all of the beauties and elements of the creations before it. There has been nothing new since then. So I guess the Artist was happy. . . and then just….stopped. . . feeling that that was the optimum creation. That it couldn’t get any better than that.” - Jeffrey Scott (aka 1019) model: Dana

A little bit of CS3 play with the eye from a special person. Original eye shot with a Canon 400D – Sigma macro lens.
Study of the intimate landscape of the human eye. / Thank you to the model, Erina.
/ This is a photograph of my eye that I played around with in Photoshop & other programs such as HDR. This picture has been nominated in the Pay It Foward group (forums) by my father A90Six. This is he said: “This is a fantastic shot, executed well and finished wonderfully. this is a great piece of work for an artist of any age, but for a ten year-old it’s even more amazing. Ok! Hands up! He is my son! That said, he is just ten years-old. He has a great ‘eye’ for photography. He has his own camera (an old one of mine) He sets up the camera and the shot himself, does his own lighting, and works out the angles and compositions he wants. He does all his own post editing including HDR work, Orton effects and Photoshop. He is allowed to ask me how to do things if he’s not sure, but he has to do it. His remit is that his work not only has to look good to him, but he has to think they are good enough to sell before they can be uploaded to RB.” Featured In: My Child’s Art / Eye Macros / Accentuate The Eyes

Didn’t plan to upload this but Perrin (13) whose eye it is, wouldn’t leave me alone until I did. It’s a later version of Apple of Her Eye in which I have enlarged the apple and added some colour using photo filters and a colour-burn brush in photoshop.
