Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Except for my Africa pics and this word – thanks…) :) I MIGHT ADD IF ANYONE WANTS TO BUY IT-GO ON, ON YA, YEAH NOW AND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! COLLECT THE SET!!
Here’s one I took today of Maggie at the beach. She’s our 6 month old Labradoodle who’s eyes are so much wiser than than her 6 months!
Photograph of yellow lab puppy. about eight weeks old. / what made me take this you ask. / how cute is she. with those eyes looking at you / camera used N90s with slidefilm f 8
Okay, couldn’t help it so I’m adding our dog Maggie’s eye which I also took today while taking photos of the kids. She has the most amazing coloured eyes for a dog so I had to add it…. Enjoy!
Like my kitten image I wanted to paint this little dog with some fantasy flair. This dog is basically my creation I don’t know if there are any dogs that look exactly like this in the world, I’m sure definitely not this colorful. I looked at a few photos of puppies and dogs to get ideas of what type of dog I wanted to create and paint. I played with different colors until I got a result that I liked. I wanted this dog to look very cute and mysterious much like my kitten image.

Champ, blue roan cocker spaniel, was my faithful companion growing up. As a child, I used to dress him up in my doll’s clothes and photograph him, and he was sooooo patient! This is Isaac, he was rescued from the local pound here in Leitchfield Ky. We rescued him at 14 weeks. Isaac is an Australian Shepherd. He is partially deaf and almost blind. He is the victim of very bad breeding , which is the reason for so many problems. At first I thought he was a mix but when I showed him to a breeder here she told me that he was pure, but the victim of a lousy breeder. I was told he is what they call a “Lethal White” which is the result of breeding a merle to a merle that can produce some beautiful pups but around 25% of pups will have problems as Isaac does but many times much worse. They will destroy those pups at birth, therefore the name! He was left on a chain at 9 weeks of age when his previous owners just moved away and left him there. Their next door neighbor didn’t help him or call anyone for 4 days. Poor little guy was skin and bones with no food or water left for him. The day he picked me out, was the first time I had ever been to our local shelter, went there looking for a female adult large breed such as a Doberman, because I had just lost my best girl of 19 years. I felt him looking at me even before I saw him, fell in love with him, went home told my husband about him, he made it clear to me that I must have lost my mind, because Isaac was everything that I swore I would never own. He was male, plus coat, medium size, puppy, well that went well. Was there early the next morning to take him home, I found out that day was to be his last day there, lucky lucky us! He is the most wonderful little guy we could ever hope for. He thinks we are pretty cool too!
Just fell in love with this puppy and got the chance to take a few shots.
