Our little red eyed tree frog, Trickster. EDIT: Thank you all – this is not my favorite one but wanted to see how the idea would be received. So, I appreciate all your wonderful comments! This is our pet frog, Trickster. I bought cloud paper at the scrapbook store and purchased an umbrella ornament on eBay. I then hung it from our banana stand (LOL-I know, I know :-) Then I put the frog on it and snapped the shutter. Because the umbrella was hanging truly vertical he didn’t like it and it didn’t look right so in photoshop I rotated the canvas 35 degrees and cloned out the string that would hang the umbrella on the tree. That is about it. Unfortunately, I had to shoot at a higher ISO so I got some noise. Going to re-do this tomorrow with more light – it was pretty cold here and these guys like warm weather so I couldn’t play too much today.

One for the amphibians’ feet fetishists (I know you’re out there!). Red-Eyed Tree Frog from Costa Rica – a living symbol of ecology. Was originally shot on a black background, so my guess is it would look best on black textiles too.

A red eyed tree frog i found asleep on top of my fish tank!!!, After a whole day & half the night i was concerned!, so i moved it out onto the bromeliad plant, it woke up & this is what i caught!!! Sooo cute…

He doesn’t look so clear here but we found this little guy on a rain forest walk in the Misty Mountains National Park near Innisfail in far north Queensland.

Red-Eyed Tree Frog. Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are mostly nocturnal. Seeing this one out during the day was extremely lucky. This gorgeous frog uses its colouration to camouflage into its rainforest environments. It’s sticky toe pads allow it to climb up vertical surfaces with ease. Okay I am officially becoming the “frog lady” and couple that with my cat shots and this is not good LOL Anyway, I decided to take new shots to put together a calendar of Frogger and Trickster – plus, I like their bright vibrancy during these dreary gray winter days. So, I hope you enjoy and don’t tire of them, I know it get to be redundant for some.

Featured in Color and Light July 20, 2009. Full Size is Best Another little toad shot … I think this might even be my old buddy from a few previous sessions, based on the star on his little throat!!! Anyhow, he was again very cooperative, bless his heart!!! Image take with the Nikon D300 and the Nikon 60mm macro/micro lens on July 19, 2009. Shutter was 1/400, aperture was f/10.00, exp. -.33, iso 640, spot metering. Other than cloning off a bit of ?? ... image is “as is.”
