This is the first in a series I foresee doing, to increase awareness to the plight of endangered and threatened animals from around the globe. This First Edition focuses on three of the largest and most endangered carnivores today, the Sumatran tiger, the Amur leopard, and the Snow leopard. These are by no means the only imperiled wild cats, as the majority of wild cat species smaller in average body size than 30 kg are at a critical stage. / / / Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society Thank you for your support in the race to stave off the extinction of these magnificent creatures.

This was taken at the Toronto Zoo! This tiger was laying on a rock, staring at the other tiger, who was pacing back and forth. I don’t know what it is but I prefer them in B&W with selective colouring on the eyes. The very bright green plants in the background, where distracting and I thought this would make the tiger stand out. Please look at in larger view! I hope you like it! My kitty, Aurora after a “whirlwind” play session of about 10 minutes NONSTOP….completely exhusted laying on the hallway floor! This was such a CUTE picture…I just had to grab my camera, and hope she didn’t move when she saw me! Aurora is a rescued kitty. This summer our local zoo was lucky enough to have a this beautiful white tiger on display, mind you a horrible display but at least we had one. This poor fella was missing his beautiful girlfriend and two cubs, who are still at the zoo where he is on loan from. They were too small to travel. Of course!! He is handsome just the same and feel lucky to have been able to take some pics of him. Although he never got up the 4 hours I was there. Nikon d90 with a 70-300 Nikon VR lens / /

Photo captured at the Calgary zoo. Many of you may have heard of the tiger here that recently attacked two people that broke into the zoo late at night. Well here is the guilty party involved : ) Not only were the two injured very badly but they were also criminaly charged with trespassing !! Cant blame the cat for that ! / /
