The complete and real title is : “Poupée – InnerSelf”. I asked to myself : Stars… They bright the sky, our eyes, our mind & soul. They are inside of us. We always look for them, for these glimpses of lights and happiness. / Do we really know ourselves? / Do we realize that we have all of this inside of us? / What are we in fact? / As we don’t really look in the correct place, we don’t really know ourselves i decided to ‘almost’ delete the face. With love, I Forgive / Your love / And your lies / Balled up like wax / Dripping down the side of my fingers / Burning / Pain, / Heat / Tears / Dissolving a fragile string of kindness which has / Muddled and hardened with time Story after story goes thru my mind, / Till I am spent and drained at my own efficient ability / To fill in scenes I only think you might have played / A part in. / Uncovering again and again the deceit and the pain / That one morning you did bring. Long before I swore.. / Never again. / But the rabid dogs of Goodbye / I did unleash / Ready for your remains / To become festered with my own / Pain / My own despair. My eyes steel cold and grey / Pools of ice and determined / Chill. / That morning / When you lead me down the / Corridor of your will. Words diminished to / Graffiti sighs / And lovers’ cries. And now I am faced with / Time that has passed and the / Decorum of modern man / Spiritual leanings / And friends that remind me / I have a place in their hearts too. / Was Love all about you? The ending is near for all this / That was. / For all this that was. And now, / I paint and I create and I feel and I close / My eyes / A figure of light appears, / Dressed in royal colors / Dressed in abstract designs from a place beyond this one. / He takes my heart from my chest / And squeezes it hard / And like the wax of your love and your lies / It drips down the side of his fingers. / His lips are full and his smile is large. / He licks my blood and gives me the same. I only taste what I feel is Eternity and Peace. / And then, / He puts it back tenderly and instantly, / He is gone. / I am left with a thought that I repeat and use as my / Mantra, / My beacon back to Hope and Life. ‘With Love, I forgive’.

meet our new little friend bubbles (daughter choose name) – a lovely little baby red eyed green tree frog. still trying to get a good shot of her/his mate freddo, but he is v. shy… trying out my new kenko macro tubes with 50mm 1.4 nikkor lens ISO:400 / f/stop: f/4.5 / shutter speed: 1/80 these little guys are v. tiny – not much bigger than my finger nail…

/ / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /
