HDR of a restored railway at Darley Dale. Another poem by Chris51>>Thanks Grandpa was an engineer Grandpa died when dad was young / And so his life was never sung / Just a shadow, spectre clear / Of a railway engineer I have his skills but not his tales / Of life & building, open rails / Fighting turmoil trouble strife / Gave him meaning, took his life When my son & I lift a weight, / Use a crowbar, set a gate / I feel his smile & sense his power / His grave will have another flower / Chris51

This eye is on a very old elephant. He is in the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson. There were two elephants and this one was just swinging his trunk back and forth like he was playing a game with it. His eyes were interesting to me. / This art work is registered copyright© 2008 and any copyright infringement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in the USA and International.
Its such a tough life for many people in North Vietnam but I was impressed with the way older people were still an active part of their community – yes life is tough but I wondered if they experienced the loneliness of some of our older people.
This sculpture was on the side of a fountain in Rome. I loved the detail in the face, but the original photo wasn’t much, so I layered with some textures and edges, used brushes to scratch and add some age. This is the original - /
