This is my beautiful siamese boy, Tolly. This photo was taken a few years ago and he is now 15 years old and in renal failure. I don’t know how much longer we will have him with us but so far he is holding his own and still getting pleasure from life and as long as that is the case all the stops will be pulled out to keep him going! As is the case with most siamese cats he has a BIG personality (to match his voice!) and he basically rules our house. But, naturally, we wouldn’t have it any other way! / ________ Update: My boy finally succumed to renal failure last year at the age of 16. I miss him greatly but I do have some very beautiful images of his very beautiful person by which to remember him.

We really loved the photo on redbubble with a models face next to a Gerbera daisy we just had to try it ourselves. The goal was to capture the beauty of both the model and the stargazer lily. Hope you agree it was a success! Thanks to our hearty model who braved the TX heat wearing black holding a flower against her head while the 12 year old photographer tried to get the shot right! Taken by my daughter…

Miss Kitty, ready for her annual “special day”. This closeup photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D through a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec at f/2.8, no flash. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome! I TRY to keep away from purple, blue and pink….but i caaaaant!!! Those colours are contageous! I dont find any others attractive anymore. Its worrying me. All my recent art is either purple or sepia. / I hope its just another temporary obsession…..but its too long! It will pass eh… FEATURED!! In the Purple Passion group!!
