  • had a play around in photoshop to try and make a rather interesting pic a bit more interesting. England has been awash with rain and grey skies (at least where I seem to go)so many of my images are very flat.

  • This shot was taken from a pedestrian bridge over the thames. The flight path to heathrow that day was over the city, so every 90 seconds a plane would appear in shot …. very handy. Cropped and treated in photoshop.

  • There’s nothing like wandering round London at 2am with a tripod! / / / / / / / Add dave7j to your watchlist »

  • Taken from the London Eye on the South Bank of the Thames. Salvador Dali is one of my favourite artists, and I wouldn’t have minded going to see this exhibition, but we had to get back to Oxford Street to finish some shopping before getting ready for the Theatre that night. There is just so much to see and do in London that there is just not enough time to fit everything in!

  • thanks to billyboy for giving this image a bit of a makeover in photoshop! check out his portfolio its great! / here’s the original (ive replaced this with the smaller, more proportionate version) The shot itself was taken by my son some time last year (can’t remember when) in london.

  • Last night I found the contents of a garbage bag dragged along the back yard of my South London home, so I decided to catch the culprit tonight after his evening of celebrating. Just gone midnight young Brer Fox turned up. “Who me?” said his look and with a quiet pop he was immortalised by the Fox Paparazzi forever! • John and I decided to be one of the first people to photograph the brand new sexy toy the Perth Wheel as of operation 9th Jan 2009. Sort of copied, ok copied from the hugely successful London Eye, the Perth Wheel it stands 50m high, can carry 284 passengers in 36 capsules. For $15 adults $10 children, you get to spend roughly 15 minutes on the wheel, which will do approximately three revolutions. There is even a VIP capsule which boasts leather seats, best to get clients stuck with you high in the sky to approve your business proposal in comfy leather seats and a plasma screen display. Operators are also expecting it to become popular for marriage proposals and birthday celebrations…oh and those girlfriend boyfriend stuff. Who said Perth cannot look like London huh? ;) MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO / - – / Shot settings: / Body: Canon EOS 350D / Lens: Sigma 10-20mm DC HSM EX / Shutter Speed: 35” / Focal Length: 13mm / Flash: Did not fire / ISO: 100 / Aperture value: f/8 / Add-ons: 77mm - Hoya Pro-1 CPL + ND8 filter

  • views: 433 / favs: 15 Image straight from the camera. Taken on January 11, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340 It was the first day of the year that the weather in London was beautiful so I spent the day outdoor walking through the parks, and the squirrels are very friendly. This particular shot was in Green Park. While I was trying to set-up my camera to take a photo, this little guy suddenly climbed up my leg! (I missed the opportunity to take its picture while it was there) I looked down at it, and it looks to the side as though saying “I didn’t do anything…” (see image in first comment), then it runs behind me and tries to climb up my knapsack; then runs in front me, spirals up the pole and pokes its head to the side going “Peek-a-boo!” After it climbed down I brought my hand out. It grabbed my finger for a little while, but took off before I could get a picture then :-( ... But atleast I captured the funny Peek-a-boo moment! The light and dark areas in the eye may look like the iris and the sclera of the eye, but that is actually caused by reflections; The dark bit at the bottom left corner of the eye is a reflection of myself with the camera:
