  • Taken February 2007. A friend’s very friendly kitten-cat who was not quite grown up. He kept crawling into your lap and looking up at you. You wants to stroke the kitty? he seemed to purr. Resistance was futile.

  • The eyes of a black panther

  • Another one for all the cat lovers out there. / Who can resist a beautiful pair of blue eyes? In this image we have a very small depth of field, soft focus , Orton Effect and vivid colors. As you can see it has a beautiful soft look to it.

  • Obi cries when I’m working on a still life and isn’t happy until she’s up on the table to see what’s the big deal. Now that she’s the center of attention it’s nap time but before she closed her pretty little eyes I took this shot. /

  • Frankie, a Ragdoll, has made himself at home as you can see. This shot was taken just before he took a nap on Tuesday afternoon January 6th 2009. In two weeks he has grown quite a bit and is a handful. Leaping, jumping, chasing anything, when he is not sleeping, eating or pooping. He is cuddled up on my husband’s T-shirt, draped over my husband’s office chair in the home office, while I am sitting at my computer. All the light on his head and fur is from the window just behind him. Frankie was rescued from the streets on Tuesday December 23/08 by my son Kevin. • Taken in 2008 / My cat Midnight. Probably the only time she’s ever held that still for me. / And probably the only really good close up shot I’ll get of her eye. I sort of lured her in with the photography light. It was warm and so naturally she wanted to lay in front of it. I think I took this with my macro lens, but I can’t remember. © Jessica Walker
