I am sooo thrilled with this one!! Bokeh was created by sprinkling water on a cd then lighting and placing the tendril and then adding the drop…flash was used as well. / Canon 500D with Sigma 70mm EX DG Macro. / Goes great with: Drop of Chrome

My earlier in the summer find of that very cool white/transparent flower crab spider that everyone loved so much even when creeped out had babies!! Or at least had ONE baby that I found today on the last rose of the season!! I know that it isn’t the same one because it is smaller and the red pattern on it’s back is lighter. I must admit it scared the living $x%x* out of me as I was reaching to hold the rose still for a few closeup and he crawled out on the petal right in front of my nose! I am just glad that he hung on when I let the branch go!! The mate to: / This amazing flower appeared in my little garden and stole away my breath…it is the only one that appeared this year…I am sure I sowed many seeds but for whatever reason this was the only one that peeked out from amongst all the different flowers…perhaps she has figure out that it is ok to be different…an enlightened flower:) / It’s perfect mate in a super macro shot of a water drop on one of it’s teensie “spokes”. Canon 500D with Sigma 70mm…LOVE how this turned out! The tiny super clear drop with the pink reflection was a wonderful BONUS to the clarity of the tips of the stamen that I was going for…I wanted soft focus on the rest of the flower, which I got, but that one drop was on the same focal length as the part I was trying for and the reflection just makes it pop! A perfect drop of dew caught on a dead leaf from my sweet pea plant in my garden. I laid a piece of teal sparkle fabric from my daughter fairy wings underneath it for a boost of color…I think it turned out nicely:) / Canon 500D / Sigma EX DG 70MM macro /
