I have an orchid which hasn’t flowered for 11years so I thought I’d better have some photographic evidence of it. Taken with a 90mm macro with extension tubes attached. See also Delicate Petal More Macro Images
A macro shot (80-200 and extension tube) of a crocus flower with a small metal candle holder (the face), shot early in the morning, when shadows from nearby shrubs looked interesting. I tried to get just the stamens in focus and the shadow on the left to look like a figure with a distended belly. I attempted to make the whole effect slightly menacing – a contrast between innocence and evil. Velvia, Nikon F4, scan.
a new smaller piece, oils on canvas 12”x10” / this painting is currently untitled – please help me think of a name! add your ideas to the comments below or bubblemail me!
Enjoy. .
Macro shot with 3 set of extension tubes, this is just some sort of weed flower >

There’s nifty Firefox extension called Greasemonkey that lets you customize the way a web page displays using small bits of JavaScript. Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites, are already available at http://userscripts.org , and now there’s one for redbubble. Based on a script for displaying large versions of thumbnails on facebook, I’ve created one that shows large image previews of art and clothing when hovering over most thumbnails and many links on redbubble.com. To give it a whirl, install Firefox (as if you haven’t already), install Greasemonkey (requires browser restart), then install my script (just click on it and Greasemonkey should pick it up) Then when you load a page, hover over a thumbnail or art/clothing link and gasp in amazement at the amount of time you’ve saved not clicking through (which you can still do of course). I got addicted to it very quickly, so much so that I immediately missed it when using another computer. This is a first release and may have a quirk or 3. Comments/feedback welcome here. Update 04JAN08: Fixed the bugs that Xavier reported, writing now works, and the hover disappears when it should. To update, install it again at the link above.

Melbourne’s Bolte Bridge. More urban work
A cluster of small flowers (around a blade of grass in width) I found hidden amongst the reed and grass while shooting dragonflies. For a size comparison the pink leaf-thing towards the right side is a blade of grass. / Color editing since the original pink and yellowish green didn’t go too well together.
Condensation inside of a water bottle…. I have too much fun with those things, haha. The background was some metallic wrapping paper that I use a lot. I used my sigma 105 mm macro lens and extension tubes. Enjoy!
A spider has used this Fuchsia flower to base its home around.
Beautiful hair always reminded me of movement; of a fluid, living organic form. In my dreams, hair becomes more than the dead follicles that adorns our bodies. It is alive in the way that plants are alive, and moves and transforms in the unexpected language that only dreams speak.
