  • I truly have no idea why these are here!, or in fact WHAT they are :) / Taken at Lang Lang Beach at Jam Jerrup (On the way to Phillip Island) Victoria

  • Invoking the the waters from the sea to rise…

  • A 30” exposure of a jetty at Cape May Point State Park, NJ.

  • A five second exposure of saltburn pier from beneath the boardwalk. The tide lapping at my feet and the “under the pier lighting” causing the surf to be rendered as an eerie sort of mist

  • take a break from life and walk the plank

  • Apollo Bay before sunrise. Exposure time 24 seconds. View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes

  • 130 seconds F11 iso100 at 10mm / Done with B+W ND1000x / Cokin GND8 / Cokin CP-L Filters…

  • I liked the colour in this one. Taken on the Sony A200 again. Too much sea spray to take out the Canon.

  • Another shot from the edge of the rocks at Narrabeen facing the incoming tide.. I love the way the water swirls around through the rocks and looks like fog with the longer exposures. EXIF / Date: 17/09/2008 / Time: 6:29am / Aperture: f/22 / Shutter: 1.8 seconds

  • I re-worked an older image.

  • Taken at Half Moon Bay near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at sunset on a nice warm summer’s day. Taken with Canon 400D on tripod and with ND4 grad filter, worked on in Adobe Lightroom 2 Click here for my other seascapes Featured in the Mornington Peninsula & Port Phillip Bay Group in February 2009

  • A re edit of a pic I already have on here which was a HDR image, trying to steer away from it unless I find it appropriate. I like this one better in a lot of ways sometimes it’s better not to see all the hidden details. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2. Gear out in the field – Canon 400D, Velbon tripod, 10-22mm lens, shutter release, nd grad filter. Enjoy :) This image was the winner of the “Part of the Sun” (Sunset or Sunrise) Challenge in the “Mornings & Evenings—Sunbeams & Storms” Group on the 7th of April 2009. • Death-like sparks burn cold and hard / A symphony of sea salt soldiers / Shaping their invasion on awaiting land Leaping from splashes / Grasping for oxygen / A rush to do battle come the day, come the time Roaring to shore in spectacular voice / To crush the life from a million weeping pebbles / As they pray for forgiveness / Down on bended knee / Begging for second chances And all the while / Eyes peer from deep forbidden sea / For a slender gaze at the battle afoot / Gossiping like fishwives over sips of milky tea / As they twitch through heavy net curtains / And tut tut tut at the youth of today Then scuttle away / Chasing the tails of those who fled first / As the wounded and fallen lay still behind Time to draw a new breath whilst plans are redrawn / And commence another charge toward the quivering shore —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Auchmithie, Angus, Scotland © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk

  • a blast of shadows / feast on towers of immovable ink / watch them, watch them / fill their bilious stomachs with / the rhythm of black watch gun salutes white dove prowls restless beneath / waiting for word / on the whereabouts of bright day / last seen served on platters / to aforementioned suspects call in for backup / pulse gone, voice gone / save the stacked mass of ages / from the unsettled moment / and a face of scars curse you, the darkest of times —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Location: Downpatrick Head, Co. • Sarakiniko coast, Milos Greece. A magical place that seems out of this world. Photo taken during dusk hour a windy day of September.

  • Embleton Bay – Northumberland This was a particular significant sunrise for me. I left home at 1am, drove two hours and forty minutes to location, tried to get some sleep, walked about thirty minutes down a beach that I have never been to in the dark and set up for the sunrise. Got some very good photographs and was happy with my instinct to just go somewhere for a sunrise. The colours that a sunrise give, is to me very therapeutic, they warm one up from within. Forget about medication etc, get people involved in nature and see the difference.

  • Witness / / Maybe we’re nothing, / just bodies and voices, / specks on the cosmic expanse. / Passengers of light years, spinning ’til dust, / another tick on the bloodspill chart. / / From a gutter, / amongst shadows and sea, / you can almost witness the dying. / This is what they call, / visionary. / / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / / Location: Dunottar, by Stonehaven, Scotland / / © Donald Cameron 2009 / Monophotography.co.uk

  • Canon 5D Mk II, 16mm, f/10, 83”, ISO 50, NDX400, Lee 0.9ND Grad, tripod My latest rejection from 1x.com - / Of those who voted against your image, four indicated that there is a problem with impact, two noted composition as a weakness and one selected editing as a reason for not publishing the image. Thoughts on the image from RB ppl would be appreciated, ta… I hasten to add that this is not a criticism of 1x, it helps make me look more closely at my work….cheers Gotta git, back in 8 hours or so SEASCAPES / LANDSCAPES / NEW ZEALAND / PEOPLE
