Two species of Zebra are endangered, Grevy’s and the Mountain Zebra. The Common Zebra is still numerous while the fourth kind of Zebra the Quagga became extinct in the late 1800’s. Zebras live in herds in the deserts and grasslands of eastern and southern Africa. They spend most of their time ,eating grass. They protect themselves from predators by keeping together while at least one member of a herd remains alert to danger at all times. The ‘Exotica Collection’ wildlife design portrays the beauty of the striking Zebra surrounded by African proteas while creating an awareness of their plight.

Their large ears rotate to locate sounds, and their night vision is as good as an owl’s. The female Zebra carries a single foal for a year and the newborn can stand within an hour after birth and begins eating grass in a few days. Each has a distinctive stripe pattern, in particular the Grevy’s Zebra and so has been hunted for its hide. Zebras face an uncertain future in the wild. They must compete with ranchers and farmers for grazing land and scarce water resources. Many Zebras have been killed for their meat and hides. / The ‘Exotica Collection’ wildlife design portrays the beauty of the striking Zebra surrounded by African proteas while creating an awareness of their plight.

/ Male or Billie Rocky Mountain Goat Oreamnos americanus. Not a true goat this animal is only found in North America living in the alpine and sub-alpine regions of the western mountain ranges. They can weigh as much as 136kg and their horn can reach a length of 28cm. They are known to be somewhat aggressive and as you can see by the shape of the horns, can leave a serious mark on a person. This image was captured at Glacier National Park, Montana.
The cougar, also puma, mountain lion, or panther, depending on region, is a mammal of the Felidae family, native to the Americas. This large, solitary cat has the greatest range of any wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere, extending from Yukon in Canada to the southern Andes of South America. An adaptable, generalist species, the cougar is found in every major American habitat type. It is the second heaviest cat in the American continents after the jaguar, and the fourth heaviest in the world, along with the leopard, after the tiger, lion, and jaguar, although it is most closely related to smaller felines.
Iam proud and I am king, / Wherever you go I see. / Whatever you do I behold. / Whatever actions you take I am there. / Whatever thoughts you think I know. / I am everywhere and in everyone. / Know that.

Mountain lions or Puma’s taken in Magaliesburg. When staring into the eyes of these beautiful creatures, one / is stripped of all pretenses. They look into your eyes and soul and you are humbled in their presence. Their power and presence radiates out from them. They are pure spirit. Nature has a way of doing that to one, of removing the ego and bringing one face to face with truth. We are evolved and yet, we cannot change as the caterpillar does into a beautiful butterfly, we cannot regrow limbs as the lizard does. We cannot always protect our young as the animals do. Faced with truth. Ramtha The Enlightened One describes nature with such reverance that when one hears it, tears roll down ones cheeks and one wishes one had a greater understanding of nature and could in fact be more like nature.

As I lie here contemplating / The world is changing / Thoughts echo a new world and order / Mother earth is shifting / I feel the tremor in my being / I have only to wait / Time is all I have.
I just finished this acrylic and air-brush painting just yesterday. My artwork is called visual meditations by Mikki because of my therapist background for so many years. This fun, interaction presented in such a whimsical statement is inspired by archetype symbols associated with dream therapy. I personally am thrilled with the effect I was attempting to capture.
If you see beauty in cats, then how much more in these beautiful wild cats that grace your countries. They need to be preserved and cherished for their beauty.
