  • This was taken around the middle of the day from the center of the World Heritage listed Melbourne Exhibition Building. I used a 19mm equivalent lens in order to get the whole center piece in, and made a real effort to to stand as directly under the center, and pointing as straight up as possible. To give you some idea of height of the roof , the tiny coloured spots in the center are actually helium balloons that have ascended to the highest point in the building (click for the zoom view to see them better). ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature Urban

  • ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. The original blend and overlapping of two arts let see the impressive plastic metaphors, giving birth to various associations. CLICK PHOTO IF YOU WANT VIEW

  • Mixed mediums: Acrylic, rice paper, linen thread, pigment powder on canvas. / Size: 613×917 x 42 mm; Framed size: 970×665 x 50 mm Concept: Practically stitches bind, attach, and connect materials and/or surfaces together and is a metaphor for human bonding. The stitch becomes the ‘thread’, linking and connecting to the human psyche. Using a needle and thread by hand to stitch is a slow, methodical and sometimes painful process, of pushing and pulling through materials. The process reveals the two sides (dual nature) and the in-between to this affair. / / Abstractly worked, the stitch is used metaphorically for relaying energies and relationship formations. / Spirit Matter Cosmos abstractly references and resonates concepts of duality, the conscious and unconscious, complexity and simplicity, the spirit and alchemy of ‘relationships’ (blood & gold symbolism), transitory formations (the faded) illusions to connections and perceived realities. Always within, is the ‘spirit’, the centre, a voice of wisdom that guides and directs us in and through and beyond the ‘matter’. • For our final school exhibit we were given the theme “My Space”. I decided to make it “My Space Inavsion” for my personal theme. I then took portrait shots of all the people who have invaded my space both positively and negatively. They are then displayed in a space along with and empty bird cage with its door open, a body cast with the freed bird on its finger and then the portraits (A4) all displayed around the space individually. Then the idea is that when you enter the space to view the exhibit, you invade my space with your presence. It also goes that my art, is my space, it frees my spirit ( like the bird) and allows me to be me in my space… These aren’t all the portraits as there are over 30 potraits and the collage would be weird with all of them. The extent of your consciousness is limited only by your ability to love and to embrace with your love the space around you, and all it contains. Napoleon Bonaparte Featured In Collective Collage
