WAR
by Lisa WeberWAR… / . / . / Is WAR just a word? / Its meanings are far reaching and deafening. / WAR is a state of mind, a physical struggle, discord, antagonism, conflict between people, nations, factions, states. / War is ugly, cruel, combative, relentless, a disrepect for life. / Just to one party, unjust to another. / War began in Heaven, brought to Earth, and through generation after generation it has become a means to an end. / An End with no begining if left unresolved. / Man hasnt the capacity to stop because of something far reaching within his soul…greed, pride, and the nature of SIN. Man talks of Peace and Change but hasnt the ability to stop, what can bring end to WAR? / Anniliation? / But then after anniliation comes a temporary peace, from fear, a need for survival until mankind reaches up into a plateau of wealth again and WAR returns…. eventually. Inspired by the religious art of my visit to Italy in December 2007, i was compelled to create the depiction of the spiritual battle that is happening in our world… every second of every day. Someone is in a battle manifested in countless forms. But there is life and with life there is always hope. ‘The Battle’ is symbolic of the journey and the challenges faced to reach freedom. After we have fought the good fight there will be victory and as we fall to our knees, we are drawn to the One… who has saved us. Take the messages as they come to you. The aim was to create a universal piece of art that speaks the language of the heart. This vector artwork is currently not for sale but if you are interested i’d love to hear from you.

This trolley is likely to stay in this room now, no one will be able to walk on the floor to get to it to remove it due to the fact some nice wee soul has set a fire under the floorboards so most of it is ready to cave in, i wouldnt go any further in that this door frame.

/ I was tired of seeing really dark Grim Reaper images that were predominantly black. The Reeper is neither good nor evil, he just is; a keeper of the balance Death as a sentient entity is a concept that has existed in many societies since the beginning of history. In English, death is often given the name the “Grim Reaper” and from the 15th century onwards came to be shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe and clothed in a black cloak with a hood. It is also given the name of the Angel of Death In some cases, the Grim Reaper is able to actually cause the victim’s death, leading to tales that he can be bribed, tricked, or outwitted in order to retain one’s life. Other beliefs hold that the Spectre of Death is only a psychopomp, serving only to sever the last tie from the soul to the body and guide the deceased to the next world and having no control over the fact of their death. In many languages Death is personified in male form (English including), while in others it is perceived as a female character. An exellent and humerous portreyal of Death or Lady Death can be seen in Terry Pratchetts Disk world series. Mainly the HOGSFATHER and SOUL MUSIC.
