This is an illustration by Robert Creedon / of the song “Everybody’s Gonna Fry” / by The Ribbon Device. Originally drawn on toilet paper and filmed being pulled / on a toilet roll holder, think more low fi than a cartoon / flip book. The film was then transfered to laptop and / photo shopped by Mat Creedon. This toilet paper illustration was latter recycled by the / artist for its original intended purpose.

It was Halloween, and so I wanted to do a picture for a few friends of mine. I love the idea of these little kids running a muck on Halloween night. :) The only one dressed up as a pirate is Belic Bear up at the top of the candy sac, but by the time midnight strikes, everybody becomes a pirate too. ;)

I live on an deadened street and every summer we have an “end of the summer picnic. We close the street off, have The Township Fire Truck in and the kid games. Last year Shelby (my daughter) and I decided we would come up with a new activity for the kids to participate in so I purchased a 10 ft by 30 ft canvas and we spent a weekend priming it in the garage. The morning of the picnic a fellow artist and I stapled the canvas to the opening of my garage (not recommended without prior written approval from your better half :)). Shelby my friend and I then painted the background and as folks showed up for the event we traced each of the youngsters and let them paint themselves. This little guy was the last one to hold the brush and his mom told me he had been carrying paint brushes around for the last several weeks and when they rounded the corner and he saw the painting all he wanted to do was add his part. Mom decided at the the last moment to strip him down to the diaper given all the open containers of paint around… had to laugh at that one:) The only rules for the kids: Don’t paint my house and don’t paint each other. The only rule for the parents was that they could not help the kids, it had to be, no matter how it turned out, painted by the children. My original intention was to donate this to a children’s hospital or something like that but I could not find any that would take it, given its size. Still rolled up and will be reused this year if I can’t find a home for it…
