Caught with Viral fever and resting at home, my temptation to work on doesn’t end. Presenting one more work on light :) This one I sighted few days back when I was li’l resting in Naval Civilian Housing Colony’s rest house. As I left the room way back I thought it might be a good !dea :)) I preferred to post B&W conversion for this. Sure I’m not gonna tempt for color. I have repocessed this image to add some LIGHT :) Hope everyone will enjoy!! Reprocessed in CS3 ( 07.05.2009 ). Equipment : Canon EOS 400D, Canon EF S 10 – 22mm lens. Hand held.

black and white were / all i chose to see. grey was not acceptable. then / with each new / grey in my hair, / i see one more / shade of grey… first number 1.. / then number 6.. / numbers 4, 8, 2, and 9… greys are muddy… / greys are dirty… french grey… / slate grey… / i see greys / even in white. greys are muddy… / greys are ugly… things aren’t that simple / anymore. i choose to stay in black / at least awhile longer… ....... greys – greyscale ....... sunday 07 20 08 / acrylic on canvas / 72”x72” .

Companion piece to Winter White .. but with slightly different camera settings and slightly closer to the entrance to the woods. I also monkeyed around with it a bit in PS. The road dips down here rather startlingly, but my little 4-wheel Rav4 made it down like a champ, bless its little heart!! Image taken on January 12, 2009 with the Nikon D40x, using the Nikon 18-200mm VR lens. This was taken on Blue Knob in Claysburg, PA. Featured in Rural Around The Globe August 28 2009. Best Viewed Larger This lovely gazebo, which is often used for weddings, is on the mountain at Blue Knob, Claysburg, Pennsylvania. I took this image on the evening of August 14, 2009. The original image was taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. I had a lot of fun tinkering including hdr in Photomatix and subsequent Orton technique on the image in Photoshop and embellishments in Corel Painter 11.

We weren’t sure if we were going to be able to make it Khumjung on our way back down ‘the mountain’ as the weather was coming in and we were in ‘sleeping bag’ mode. Luckily, the stop offered more than a sighting of the Yeti skull and street lights!! It was already late in the afternoon and the snow had just begun to fall consistently- this lady had also obviously decided it was time to head back indoors.
