I was unsure what to expect before visiting Paris, but when I arrived there I soon fell in love with the place. This view was shot from near the top of…......where else but that big steel tower. The day was wet and overcast but quite humid as it was in the middle of Summer in Europe. Will have to re-visit this town again one day and hopefully see lots of thing I missed the first time around. / The image above represents exposure from 3 bracketed frames 1 stop apart in shutter speed. eg, f11 @ 1/1000th, 1/500th and 1/125th. (under exposed + correctly exposed + over exposed. / I have some info about HDR at my pbase if your interested

Jungfraujoch (el. 3471 m.) is a saddle between the Mönch and the Jungfrau in the Bernese Alps on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais. Termed ‘The top of Europe’ it is only accessible via a cog railway that has been built by tunnelling through the mountains. The highest railway station in Europe is situated here.

I took this shot in Pontresina, Switzerland by accident. I saw it on a hike in town. Seems like where ever you are in the alps of Switzerland you can find a beautiful picture with out any trouble.

London, View from the balcony of my friend’s flat Tosin in Stockwell, South London ! I have enjoyed so many weekends at my friend’s place for the last few years, listening music, watching videos or movies or having interesting conversation! / I love the view from his balcony with the famous Power Station on the background. / I remember when, one night, we were looking at the many buildings and windows and wondering how many people and stories were going on in that moment while we were enjoing a nice Rum and Coke!

From Sligachan, when the river was on the point of freezing, and the colour of steel. / There were some lovely glints of reflected light on the water, where I was standing in deep shadow, so I shot for HDR, knowing that would bring out the best detail in the water, and the colours. / VIEW LARGE FOR DETAIL !!! Canon EOS50D, tripod, iso 100, cloudy wb, f23, / A three shot HDR, RAW files processed in Photomatix, then titivated up in PS CS3, selective colour, a bit of “multiply” in a duplicate layer, reduce opacity, then a touch of Orton…. by duplicating my image, applying Orton, then layering on top of the original until the desired effect was achieved, then flattened. This makes the colours POP ! MORE SEASONAL IMAGES HERE… / / /
