  • A horseman riding through the siq toward the imposing Treasury in the Nabatean ruins of Petra in Jordan. / A classic and timeless location but made unique by the appearance of the horseman in the shaft of light. (These guys ferry tourists who don’t want to walk through the siq) / The lost city was rediscovered in the mid 1800’s. / I only spent a couple of days here but the enormity of the location is astounding. There is so much archeological work to be done here – and so much still to be found – it will be a never ending quest.

  • Canal of Dreams featured in The One Great Shot Group 2008. For the longest time I dreamed of a wild adventure in Italy. In April 2008 that dream became an extraordinary reality. With heightened, rich, vibrant colours canal of dreams creates an almost painterly impression of beautiful Venice. Canal of dreams is a personal favourite. It is a reminder of the adventure of a lifetime, the many bridges I crossed and the memories that linger on. I hope one day to return to my Canal of dreams. (c)sooz2008

  • This is one of my favourite shots taken on black and white film and taken in St Mark’s Square in Venice, Italy. I have scanned the print. I like the timelessness of this shot, I think. She was surrounded by the pigeons at first and she didn’t mind. But later, one flew on her head and she minded a lot. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. A matted print in Off White to Lucy, my sister-in-law, in the UK. Many thanks so much for purchasing this. This shot was featured in the Urban Art Group and the I love Italy Group.

  • This was taken inside the Cathedral of Toledo, in Spain. It was taken on film and the print was scanned to digital. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo, also called Primate Cathedral of Toledo, is a church in Spain. The seat of the Archdiocese of Toledo, it is one of the three 13th century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain and is considered to be the magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain. It was begun in 1226 during the reign of Ferdinand III and the last Gothic contributions were made in the 15th century when, in 1493, the vaults of the central nave were finished, during the times of the Catholic Monarchs.

Mostly though, it will be so cold and windy that you will will not want to stay too long !! It is a very wild and remote area, so incredibly beautiful.
