Paris is an incredibly beautiful city. I was just strolling down the street and shot this scene. There was a light rain a few minutes earlier and I loved the reflection of the lights on the street and the bicycles awaiting their owners…

Tynemouth priory Tynemouth priory is located on a rocky headland (known as Pen Bal Crag), The priory is where early kings of Northumbria were buried. The coat of arms of the village of Tynemouth includes three crowns commemorating the tradition that the Priory had been the burial place for three kings.

Tynemouth Priory was founded early in the 7th century. / In 800 the Danes plundered Tynemouth Priory. / Afterwards the monks strengthened the fortifications sufficiently to prevent / the Danes from succeeding when they attacked again in 832. / However, in 865 the church and monastery were destroyed by the Danes. / At the same time, the nuns of St Hilda, who had come there for safety, were massacred. The priory was again plundered by the Danes in 870. / / The priory was destroyed by the Danes in 875. / The small parish church of St Mary remained. / This Chapel is behind the Blue door. / When entering it is truly stepping back in time.

This Robin stalked me for about an hour the other day, wouldn’t let me take my shots without flying onto my tripod, my feet, pecked at my shoes and eventually landed on my lens….so eventually I took it’s pic and that seemed to keep it happy! Taken at Rogie Falls, no post processing.

Trümmelbachfälle (Trümmelbach waterfalls) is a unique-in-Europe series of waterfalls inside the mountain. Trümmelbach brook alone drains the whole glaciated area of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau with up to 20.000 liters per second! Take a lift through the mountain and get fascinated by the power of water… Photographing the waterfalls was all but easy: difficult lighting with very high contrast between lit water and dark rocks, long exposures of several seconds, best views being often from bridges trembling due to both tourists’ steps and enormous water masses, omnipresent spray of glacial water and everything wet… Fascinating experience, I have spent two great hours photographing, completely forgetting about the rest of my family… Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland.
